Would you please show me how to move needle bar back to the front in Singer 6180 for centering the needle? i dont know which screws need to be touched. Thank you

Hi there, I have singer brilliance 6180. Needle is hitting the base plate. Needle rod is bent i think. What to do.

Was hoping the belt was the problem because it wouldn’t turn at all. Thinking it needs some fresh oil…hasn’t been used in about 10 years :(

Excellent video. It worked wonderfully well. Couldnt have done the job without this video. A small tip: It is important to carefully mark all the screws as they come out because they vary in type and size and you want to put them back in the right place/order.

I hate my machine. She’s on her villain arc I guess even if I always have treated her right.

This machine is crap. I've only used it a handful of times and now it's seized up. It's clean, took it apart, motor that turns the belt works, it's just the hand wheel, like it's welded in place. No way, no how to move it. I'm throwing it out.

Hi Egorshall, i disassembled the first part of my machine, as there seemed to be a thread stuck. There was a tiny brush that fell out as soon as I took the plastic hood off. It had some lint on it. Do you have any idea where it has come from? I have watched your vid hoping to spot it, but no luck. TIA 👍

Alors oui c’est bien ! Mais aux autres personnes qui ont ce souci “C4” ce n’est pas forcément ça!! Si vous arrivez à descendre et monter l’aiguille avec la mollette prévue à cet effet je pense juste que c’est un souci de fil, enlevez-les, remettez-les bien dans le bon sens !! Et si ça fonctionne pas changez d’aiguille et sinon essayez ça mais en dernière option c’est pas super simple donc si c’est fait pour rien ça serait bête! (toujours lire les commentaires parce que j’ai eu peur au début://)

You make the splitting open look so easy.. Just press with your fingers and pop it opens.

Got to be honest followed the video doesn’t work for me took off all the screws and bolts check 3 time they are all off but the middle section will not come off

Most helpful, I just got into a 6660 which is clipped together in a similar way. That was jammed up with thread around one of the pivots which I carefully removed with tweezers and a craft knife. The video gave me the confidence to pop the cover apart.

Good morning. I followed the video and currently have my machine pulled apart. I can see that my wheel is spinning one direction but not the other. The belt seems to be on the pully. Any ideas?

Thanks so much. Just got this machine (ours is actually called the Singer Fashion mate but it looks exactly the same) Got the C4 error and the first thing I assumed was the belt was off. Your video was extremely helpful especially as you show where the clips are on the case so you don't break them. Actually, we have only had the machine about 4 days so this is a bit of a disappointment, but I had no interest sending it for repair for such a simple issue. Thanks again,

Hi, I have followed your video, discovered the timing belt had a dent. I ordered a new one. Put it in but it wont work... what else do I need to do?
