I enjoyed this moot generally. The manner in which the responses were given suggest that the reps were well prepared, appeared very natural. I felt a bit intimidated by Justice Jamadar at first but then, I learn alot from his line of questioning, Madam Rajnauth-Lee appeared very caring in her tone, and Justice Barrow's voice could sound dismissive but that's just his natural voice. All in all, I got valuable hints on court decorum, and structuring my argument for my own 10min moot assessment. I aspire to be an excellent attorney. I look forward to day 2

Once again the PNC and the Court of Appeal has come up short in the eyes of Guyana’s Apex Court, the CCJ. Judicial reasoning must never be restricted by blinders. The outcome of a court case should not always be dependent on a precedent, that shows some slothful judicial reasoning caused by blinders obstructing a 17:52 wider view of this case. Mr Forde and the PNC has once more lost again.

B0th sets don't have equal status. One is active due to being sworn in, the other "" "Dormant" and has no influence to alter decisions by vote, which is only allowed by elected members. The ' Dormant ' members should not be considered Parliamentarians since they should not sit in Parliament, even if elected as Technocrats. If they do then the total number of sitting Members will be extended by 2: a total of 67. I don't know who instructs/ directs the extra 2 members, but I guess their interest is only on the Government's side. By function, they are not Parliamentarians though on the list. They should be addressed otherwise consistent with their function, but different to elected members.
