I’m spring of 1975 I ran in the Drake Relays for the University of Oklahoma. When they Iowa and I saw that blue track I knew that was Drake. It was cold there that weekend. Downtown they had a parade of tractors it was very interesting how they respected the farmer’s equipment. I ran in the prelims and someone else took my place in the finals . Teammate Stan Bracy a sprinter who came from New Mexico Junior College was always venturing out. He was a nice guy extremely talented and loved his family. Rest in peace Stan you are one of kind. It’s been 48 years but I can remember like it was yesterday. LB May 29, 2023.
