Was just checking on some of the late R. Malone's great pieces (RIP), and was pleasantly surprised to see Brazilian great Romero Lumbambo at Diane's left side. What a line-up.

I like this clear tone. I don’t know why so many jazz guitarists want to sound like they’re in the apartment next door.

People go wild about Jimi Hendrix and I think he was a great musician but when i think of the most incredible and talented guitarist to walk this earth I think of Joe Pass.

Abercrombie is out of this world. He truly isn't pigeon holed by any particular style or form or other guitarist. If he is following any particular guitarist he is probably playing in a cellar on Pluto. He is truly from another world. I just wish I could have seen him live.

He's tapped into perfect harmony with such sensitivity. He's delicate in his execution of his rendition of this tune and moves me, fills me with such deep emotion. I've always admired him since I was 12 or 13 years of age back in 1974-5

Was Joe of Gypsy family heritage? He plays a Gypsy style guitaring and George Benson called him the American Gypsy.

Stunning duo performance. She was absolutely fabulous and the guitarist beautifully supported her singing without encroaching or overpowering it, as sometimes happens. What a gem!

This is quite a simple song, ruined by the dramatics of Diane Reeves excessive vocals.

So refreshing! Great rendering of a rarely heard tune, just about perfect translation of the chords. I believe the Old Geezer would definitely approve!

Brilliant, passionate expressive vocals by Dianne Reeves. Almost drew tears from my eye's. The gentleman accompanying guitarist is perfectly attune to her voice. Thank you for sharing!

Great song sublimely presented by Ella and Joe. The song has a beautiful American depression era flavour to it and is a little unusual compared with other standards at the time. Ella started in the 30's and by 1939 she was leading Chick Webbs band.

I met Atilla right in front of Berklee where I studied, and he was carrying this exact AZ Standard guitar. We spent some time talking as he was trying to convince to buy it from him. This was in the winter of 1986. Unfortunately, I did not buy it. He gave me his personal card and left. Love his playing!
