One of the worse designs on the planet. Avoid

Ok so I finally had a job that required a miter saw for molding and so bought the craftsman V20 miter saw. I have an Evolution metal miter saw which I also have wood blades for (love that thing particularly for metal: and I got all the blades for different material types). But this job on one of buildings only needed small molding and I wanted to be able to easily bring the saw there instead of back and forth for numerous small cuts (yes the evolution is mobile, but still requires breakdown and loading in the truck instead of grab, go and throw it in the back seat!). I have a new love! Absolutely love it! It has a marvelous carbide blade with like 40+ teeth (equivalent to a 60 tooth fine cross cut 10” or so). I did wrap my joints with painters tape but in test cuts even without there was absolutely zero tear out! It is sturdy, very ergo-metric, accurate, well balanced and a joy to cut with. It’s very light but not too light, so easy to grab and carry but not so light that you think it’s going to walk on you. One feature I think I really like is that instead of a laser to indicate the cut line, it has a strategically placed LED that casts a shadow if the blade! You can actually see the tooth edges and where they will cut! With this I can land a length to better than 1/64th inch (without a block) reliably every time. Your pencil lead width and eye sight become the limiting factors, not the laser line. Anyhow, I am ecstatic over this saw and can heartily recommend.

Step 14- Impossible to thread the upper end of the hose counter clockwise into the chute support. It's very tight and awkward to twist it. The video makes it look real easy but it took forever just to get it to stay.

The battery compartment is designed idiotically. Almost have to break it to put in or change battery. Clearly designed so you eventually break it and have to buy new one. I expect better from Craftsman.

Please build more power tools in the USA they are excellent

Unfortunately you have become a total POS company. You have no customer service whatsoever, only the pretense thereof. Which is misleading and deceptive in the worst possible way that can literally break the spirit of a person. I remember when the opposite was true. You were a name proud to stand by and to own.

I purchased from Lowe’s in July. Thinking I could do it myself, I had to pick the right day and today was the day. As a woman doing this I am very proud to say I got done. I had instructions to follow and they were somewhat helpful but the video did it for me. 0:10

Drilled about 20 holes and mine stopped working. Junk!

No need to remove an entire deck to replace a belt. It just takes a little skill and patience.

Hello, can you tell me the differences between the 3 drawer toolboxes, I see what appears to be the same box ,but 3 different prices, I see one is Stainless steel, and the alloy steel for the others and either with or without a small ratchet/ screwdriver bit set...is that basically the difference in prices from $79 , $85, and $92 ? Thanks.

The saw overheats and melts. It is not for long term use. I do not recommend this purchase

Bought this model 3 years ago. One month out of warranty, it fails. In 3 years, I've installed a total of 9 anchor bolts into my patio slab with no issues. But now, I can't get the thing to shut off. The lock on trigger only works on high speed....Unsafe if you drilling in concrete and hit a rock...broken wrist. Plug it in, it runs a very slow speed but goes into high gear without any provocation. Haven't been able to find a new trigger switch. Junk, very disappointed Craftsman (Craftsman customer for well over 50 years)

It’s not on every Craftsman trimmer.

Geeez. Way easier to lift the mower up a foot and just get under the deck and swap blades.
