I've read that the replica Spanish gallion will be at gravesend and open to the public from September 11th so that could be interesting to film when she comes in.

@@UKShipspottingRailFreightTV Is that Galeon Andalucia? I didn't know it was visiting Gravesend but it is open to visitors at the end of Southend Pier from 22nd August to 27th August (you can see details on the Southend Pier website). St Katharine Docks marina also put out a tweet on 11th July to say that it will be up there between 23rd and 30th September so perhaps it is staying at Gravesend on the way up to London.

Yes, I believe Madeline is new to the port. Usually I'm at Harwich twice a week and have yet to see the new vessel..

Thank you.I was told that svitzer madeleine was going to replace either Shotley or sky but Felixstowe realised that with bigger ships they should have 5 tugs on standby.She has been around a couple of weeks but this was first time I've seen her.

Thank you.Neither had I seen a trulsen ship before (at least I dint think I have). I believe on Friday there is a cruise ship SEABOURN SOJOURN going to the outer harbour at Great Yarmouth.Might go up but not sure.

Great looking ship, UK, she looks well-built. 36 years old and still operating, and in good shape. I'm always impressed by the weather. One hears bad things about the weather in the UK but the region you film in seems to have great weather all the time. Another fine episode, UK! Cheers.

Thank you.Yes very hot and I left at 10am as couldn't stand the heat anymore.Shame the conditions were also misty/milky which doesn't help filming.ive also somehow managed to delete the radar intro so will have to film it again next time I go.

Great video. I thought when the water came out of the front of the ship like that it was used to wash the anchor. I assume that the anchor was not used when it was in port so am I wrong?

Apparently its to wash the anchor and chain to get rid of seaweed and mud and stuff.

It’s not a super yacht where everything has to be shining and free of any marks to show that it’s actually used… this is a huge cargo vessels where anchors aren’t meant as decorations and where crew has better to do than painting them each time after used… as soon as they are paid out for the first time, paint on the hull is scraped a bit and that. Goes on and one.
