Imagine if Busch spun kenseth at SLINGER boy it’d be a riot at that place lol. Richie bickle was also in this race and crushed it.

I met the driver of car 14, Kody King, at Hawkeye Downs tonight. He ran an exciting, competitive, and professionally aggressive race. My son is autistic, so we were especially thrilled to see his left rear quarter repping Autism Awareness. His second place finish earned him a trip to tech. There we met him and members of his team. I'm not sure I've met a kinder, friendlier soul. His entire team was wonderful to us. After he finished a 100 lap race, Kody took the time to pose for pictures with John and chat. It was a magical night for him and we talked about it all the way home after the race. I've always said good racers (of anything) are the nicest people you'll meet. I'm happy to share that the notion is alive and well in this fine young man. He and his team are a class act.

this was my home track. I used to live right across a field from it, could hear the races loud and clear back in the 70s when the stands were absolutely packed and the cars were much more “stock”. The track was gone not long after this race, replaced by a Menards. Obviously people in the area didnt know about the UMP series if thats what this was. it looks more like a Have a Tampa race bsed on the cars im seeing. If i had known about ump and that they raced at hales i would have been there for sure. THANK YOU, ill be passing this along on social media for likeminded to watch

I love my home track! I know ifs, ands, are candy and nuts but f I had he money💵💸💰 Would love to see the safer barrier around the track, with premier Safety Catch Fencing. Updated front grandstands at least update what’s there now, of course anyone from here knows the reasons for the hold ups or hang ups that come with the track of course money 💰 unfortunately is everything. I always try to be possibly positive as everything can be and is possible! I know I’m dreaming, but would be sweet as hell!

I believe 44 and 5-0 are supposed to be jam cars, which I find really unnecessary in figure 8 racing.

During these days he was the Brat. Whether he says so or not. Fans make the call. What a driver that night. Drove smart, fierce and took on a field that night with tons more experience at many levels. Though I was only 8 or 9 more interested in the playground that night, I remember the line to get Rusty's name was hrs long.

That does it. This old man is movin’ to Fairbury, gonna take my retirement monies and get as close as I can to this PHENOMENAL track. They shut down Hales Corners and I, as a result, quit watchin dirt racin for 25 years. Then I saw a race on nbc sports when some man name of Owens was dominating’ then realized everything I missed is on you tube. THANK GOD. Anyhow I’m movin HERE, god willin, and hopefully one of these teams will need an extra man…

And also the rules don't make it easy at all for someone to come travel and run a race with this series cuse we have to buy tires from the series sanctioning body and gotta add 75 lbs to it and start at the rear no matter what and the 602 must be sealed by the series approved engine shop and Dyno and recorded by then making sure it's with in gms specs, also the trucks I run is very similar to y'alls rules except we can only run a metric clip based truck and we can run either five star or AR bodies and we can buy two new tires every race and our motors can have either GM OEM seal bolts or seals from multiple approved engine builders and even run those Pruitt blue printed 602s that make alot of power but still legal just blue printed and perfectly matched internals and just setup better then the way GM builds them that's only difference, they should give like a 150lb weight break for anyone who travels to race with this series and has a metric based pro truck and not a tube chassis on coil overs and allow that truck to run 4 new tires as well and not start then in the back now if they are a tube chassis truck on coil overs then no weight break and make them run three used tires picked from the used tire stack and buy one new tire instead of buying 4 new tires and start in the back and add 75 lbs of weight.
