I installed the same 2.0A Trickle Charger/Maintainer on my '21 GMC 1500 AWD as well. Connected to its battery posts. Wish its 110/120V electrical cord was 8"-12" longer. Hope their next version has a longer cord. It works. Its LED light blinks RED when charging up and solid green when fully charged. IMO, RED means a "problem". They should have a "flashing green" when charging up and a solid green when fully charged - like many other trickle chargers. Hopefully, their next product version is made with a longer cord and better (more meaningful) LED light. Even with these design flaws, I bought another unit and installed on our "run about" 2014 AWD vehicle. When I plug its engine block heater in, I plug this charger in the same electrical cords. Works for me... I recommend to others...

OMG .... Make a Reset!
@ThejohnnyoshowАй бұрын
I stopped using the band selector because it constantly malfunctioned when using the M series, especially when frequently switching up and down the bands with the knobs. It happens all the time. Interestingly, it almost never happens when using the desktop software. However, the band selector issue is still a problem, and I stand by the fact that they have yet to fix it. I’m responsible for tens of thousands of IoT devices in the field. If my codebase were so poorly designed that it couldn’t handle persistent data without constant corruption-especially on devices deployed in remote locations that customers can’t easily reset-I’d lose my job. Sorry, but not sorry. The way they handle the band data is a joke. After almost four years of owning this radio, their incompetence in addressing this issue is unacceptable. If they worked under me, I would have fixed it myself and fired them. This is a $5,000 radio. I expect better, especially since we have $300 IoT devices that perform more reliably. This issue should never have existed in the first place. The fact that they store all band data in a single database is ridiculous. Each band should be stored in a simple flat file. If any band’s data (flat file) gets corrupted, the system should automatically reset that band to factory defaults or revert to the last known good configuration. Furthermore, each band’s data should be stored separately from the others so that if one gets corrupted, it does not impact the operation of the rest of the radio. I just stopped using the band selector and now just preprogram memories. Too bad the developers of a $5,000 radio can’t pull their heads out of their butts.

I used epoxy to glue in the rivet then nailed in the three rivet holes. Then the wheels. It looks great and works perfectly.

I'm a hardware engineer/hacker (some overlap between hams and us) and just got this desk from Thomann ( €295 plus 2 6u racks and a few slideouts for hardware projects). Few things I wish they did on this desk. First, use real rack strips that use cage nuts. I mean, what they did was *ok* but if they had gone with real rack strips, it would have knocked it out of the park. I know I'm going to loose these screws, I KNOW IT! Also, the top part is a bit fiddly to put together. That said, be warned. Unless you lift weights or something, the packages they come in are HEAVY. This took me and a friend a few hours to put together. The pros: Literally everything else. Your review was what sold me on this desk and I could NOT be happier. I've spent 2 bloody years looking for a good hardware engineering desk and this was it.
@Thejohnnyoshow5 ай бұрын
I did notice that with the screws also, i miss placed the ones that came with the desk so ordered more on amazon thinking they would be some standard, and found out they are not. fortunately i found the rack screws that came with it, but i agree that part could have been better. that desk is sure solid though.

All LQ4 engines from that era lacked improved baffling in the valve covers until around 2005. This issue likely affected older LQ9 engines as well, regardless of engine size. Initially, GM attempted to resolve the problem by modifying the PCV, but later, they addressed it more effectively by redesigning the valve covers.

Which part? The shower miser? The shower miser allows you to run the hot water back into the fresh water tank; that's the water coming from your hot water heater. Therefore, if you're winter camping and using the tank instead of the city water hookup (which you should be, as the hose will just freeze outside), it will take hot water from your hot water heater and pump it into the fresh tank. Then, cold fresh water will go into the hot water heater. It's not what it's intended for, but if you put it on a trickle, that's what it will do. Then, in effect, you have a fresh tank water heater to keep that tank and your lines from freezing.

I understand that this event was many years ago and hope that you guys are fully recovered and all are well. I’m a bit confused as to why you made the decision to film from window to window when clearly it was not safe to do so, endangering your safety? All types of warnings and sirens indicated a dangerous weather event was about to occur.
@Thejohnnyoshow8 ай бұрын
Ignorance is bliss, I guess. I understand your concern, and looking back, I realize it might not have been the best decision. At the time, I never really felt in danger until we heard things hitting the roof while I was in the garage. In my mind, it was just strong wind, and the storm watchers were not reporting tornado sightings in our direct area. I had never been in a storm like that before, so I was amazed by the spectacle of it, which clouded my better judgment. Unlike my daughter, who smartly stayed in our basement the whole time and wasn’t seen anywhere in the video. Thank you for your comment.

Here after the EF4-5 tornado just had a direct hit in Greenfield and I must say, the damage is catastrophic. Winds of 200-205MPH making this capable of being a EF5 but most likely EF4. However, we have to wait and see for the damage.

May 16 2024 , Hello , when you relocated the knock sensors, did you put them between the 4 piston , on both side ? When you relocated them, how did it work ? How long did you leave them in the relocated spot and how long did it work for ? Did it light up engine light and did the vehicles have any other problems ? Did it run fine ? As for the ECM , I have talked to a company in NY that Refurbish and programs , any ECM computers . They explained that there are different program all ready written each specific ECM . That you can not just make adjust , none less you have a certain computer and program to do this . If you had it done , who and how was it done to make adjustment or rewrite the program ( software ) ?

So i talked to someone that is a mechanic and he claims that it will not cause a problem moving it out where i did as far as detecting knock. (so for what ever that is worth) however it has failed again after about a year, i think its getting to hot in this new location, so i have to try putting some kind of extra heat shield around it or something.

I will be updating this video, i know others have put this in the same or close location but i think it needs some kind of heat shield, the end to the wire is now distorted from the heat and keeps coming off. so something more needs to deflect the heat so that needs to be taken into consideration, also im not sure if the sensor is still good or if its just because of the wire, but even when the wire is now attached it will throughs an error. i still have to replace the connector and see if ti resolves the issue, if not that means my new sensor has already failed again, if so probably because of the heat
