It could be a few reasons! Both devices need to be on the same wifi and you have to turn on web access in the batocera settings

@KevsBatoceraBuilds actually, I'm not even sure if I'm look for the correct thing. I have isos on my windows PC and have batocera installed on an external SSD. I use my PC to run batocera on the external drive. I can't really seem to find any easy way to transfer the isos from my PC to the External drive. Do you have any videos explaining this?

@ okay just move the isos to the extra external drive you have then boot into batocera and plug in the external drive that you moved the isos to once you do that click f1 to go into the file manager of batocera then locate the ROMs folder

Go to the main Batocera settings and then to network settings and you can turn on WiFi and connect to your network

I agree. I was using Artflix for a while and really liked it but when I came across RVGM it's definitely my favorite. Good tip on the icon color change. I like the colors way better. 🤟

@KevoBato I'm trying to setup my other computer the same way but it's not working for some reason and I can't figure it out no how. I did everything the same way... several times and even uninstalled and installed it again. That didn't help at all because the settings stayed the same. How could i purge firefox out of there maybe and try again. I'm at the point of just copying my partition with gparted from the one that's working but it takes a long time to do. Can you maybe help me out before I do that please. It must be something simple. The command in terminal just doesn't seem to be taking for some reason. TIA

@@KevsBatoceraBuilds That's awesome. You should make a video how to copy a Batocero setup to another drive or a bigger drive when needed. It's super easy to do with gparted by just copy and paste partitions. Even usb to hd. I have done this like a 1/2 a dozen times. I assume you are a Linux guy. It would make for a good video and I haven't seen anyone doing.

Works like a charm. That's awesome. I'm dual booting with MXlinux and it was always a pain bouncing back and forth between the 2 os's . Definitely going to take advantage of flatpaks more often now and maybe make Batocera as my first boot option. Thanks for the great vids. 🙂

There is no way to re-load the instrallers for local use or something? heroic and lutris are useless from flatpak, they dont run because Im in root mode... such a waste of good talent and code man :C

Double check that your Batocera machine is connected to the Internet sometimes mine randomly isn’t connected when it was connected minutes prior

@ it sounds like the flatpak application isn’t communicating with the internet could you try Wi-Fi and see if that works ? To rule out issues

2024/30/09 Hello everyone! Is BATOCERA v40 safe to install now 2024 it work for 2 weeks and then is Charging our flashing on and off I got a new SSD-drive 250.GB I installed A new copy of BATOCERA v40 on the new SSD-drive and it work when I tried it for the first time and then Last night I restarted my pc and it flashing on and off I tried my 1.up Arcade machine pc machine and it is the same it flashing on and off my GPU is good my CPU is good my RAM is good but it should work but it just doesn’t.

There are flatpak alternatives if your running on a pc laptop steam deck etc. just go to your file manager then applications and open the flat pak application and then search KZbin. A few options are “freetube”
