I have my year old commonplace almost the same as you, EXCEPT the colour coded labels and the super smart index w those same colours before the title. I'm gonna try to implement it in the book I still have, but otherwise it's DEF. going into my next one Thanks luv <3

I began to commonplace because of you. I watched a lot of videos about the topic but found them hard to follow. Your system is clean and straightforward.

Love your video! Do you hole punch your own papers ? Which paper have you preferred?
@Jazzlypuff
@Jazzlypuff 7 ай бұрын
Thanks! I do hole punch the paper myself. I forgot to add a link in the description so I’ve just updated it. I’ve always loved tomoe river paper because of how crinkly the paper is 😅 but the quality is not as good anymore and I’m still looking for a good replacement.

What is the meaning of the orange dot connected to the personal project dot on the first page?
@Jazzlypuff
@Jazzlypuff 7 ай бұрын
The orange sticker was from an old sticker sheet that I used. I switched to the Stalogy stickers for the 5mm size and nicer colours :)

I always have such a hard time printing in a5 or like on really nice paper. I’d love to know what paper you use (I just watched it! Sanzen! Gotcha ❤) or the printer settings. This video made want to get up and commonplace

i switched back into my old filofax for this year as well, but i've been struggling with the paper and i think you just solved my problem. i ended up getting a hobonichi notebook in a5 and unbinding it so i get the grid i'm accustomed to, but the ink i've been using the most actually bleeds through it. it's pilot iroshizuku take-sumi. i guess i need to go through my stash for a dry ink. 😅
@Jazzlypuff

Glad I could help :) you can also try using a finer nib to control how much ink comes out.

Hello! I love this video! It was so relaxing to listen to. I would also love to hear a review on papers, I’ve started my own creative writing notebook (that I also doodle in) and have been struggling a bit with the Tomoe papers. The feel of the paper is still amazing but the bleed 😢I can’t wait to watch anything else you put out! ❤
@Jazzlypuff

The reviews I read about the new TRP downplayed the bleeding. I think people were just in denial, hoping it was better. Thank you for watching 😊

Love it! You’ve inspired me to start recording all I learn about aviation & flying to calm my fear of it. Do you rewrite the articles or are they your notes on the articles?
@Jazzlypuff
@Jazzlypuff 7 ай бұрын
That sounds awesome! It’s definitely fascinating and reassuring to know how seriously the aviation industry takes health and safety. For aviation, I copy the article exactly to have the correct info and then make my notes in the margin. Some articles are my own notes. It depends on the info.

I clicked on this video because of the “unemployed” and then the common place notebook was the bonus of the video. I just finished my masters degree, and now have to start looking for work. As an autist, this is quite a change to my routine and trying to even get up the nerve to write a CV/Resumé, let alone a cover letter sends me almost into a panic. I needed to find another use for my functional planner, since I am no longer tracking tasks day to day or week to week. However, I do not like the dated daily pages for this, hmmm how would one use a dated daily page for common place notebooks? Oh and thanks for adding to my TBR stack. I read on a Kindle, I miss physical books though, but I have been sucked into this Kindle Reading Challenge gamification.
