My OMP center badge/emblem (the horn) is kind of angled/not fully center, wonder how I can remove the badge and realign it as seems like I can't just rotate it.

Where did you get the hub?

I'm planning on changing the wheel in my FiST, but I'll be using an NRG hub instead of a random cheapo one. I don't plan on doing a wheel install at all though if I can't keep the clock spring.. what prevented you from keeping yours? Think I could make it work with an NRG hub (specifically, it's # SRK-175H, which says it works with Fiestas of my year)? I'm okay with grinding down some of the inside of the NRG hub to make connectors fit if that's what I have to, if that might give me what I need. I saw your comments saying you had to remove the clock spring; but without it I can't do rewiring for the steering wheel controls or have my turn signals turn off automatically/correctly.

Cool wheel, are they reversible? Everything just plug back in I’m wanting a Alcantara wheel. But I like my cruise control 🤣

Wont be reversible the way I did it XD. If you leave the clock spring in tact then you can reverse it. Or rewire new buttons from there.

Assuming your off winters what are your thoughts?
@BreakingPointMotorsports
@BreakingPointMotorsports 4 жыл бұрын
The tires I run for daily driving are summers so in that video I believe I still had the winters on. All the braces drastically improve how responsive and tight this car feels regardless of tire choice but it's definitely better on summers.

Link to adapter? And size of steering wheel?
@BreakingPointMotorsports
@BreakingPointMotorsports 4 жыл бұрын
I got a 320mm OMP wheel and the adapter is generic Amazon just what you get if you search "fiesta St hub adapter" so I didn't find it worth it to link it.

Are you going to do the airbag light bypass at all? Also how to wire the horn?
@BreakingPointMotorsports
@BreakingPointMotorsports 4 жыл бұрын
I don't know about a bypass for the airbag light but I will just be pulling all the bulbs out of my dashboard which I will upload a video for when I do it. I haven't been doing much because of the whole situation with Coronavirus so everybody sit tight!

Also any thoughts on relocating the cruise controls?
@BreakingPointMotorsports

It didn't even occur to me to relocate cruise control mostly because I never use it, but I'm sure there's a way you can rewire it

Did the steering improve with the smaller diameter lighter wheel?
@BreakingPointMotorsports
@BreakingPointMotorsports 4 жыл бұрын
Yes it always feels better to lighten your steering wheel, especially in newer cars because power steering is generally a little but too much. This made it feel more less numb.

Why didn’t you remove the clock spring?

I did end up removing it actually due to clearance issues with the cheap hub adapter.

Any impressions on the wheel after driving around? Did you find a way to delete the dash lights or are they on permanently now that the airbag is disabled? Need some follow up.............................
@BreakingPointMotorsports
@BreakingPointMotorsports 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment! I will be uploading a video soon of how I removed the dash lights physically from the cluster but I do not believe there is a way to just turn them off. It may be possible with a software called 'ForScan' but I have not used it myself.

Thank you for this. 2012-2014 only correct? I'll be looking for an affordable set to swap in to my ST. Might even take them apart and use the ST cover on the Focus piece if possible to retain stock look.
@BreakingPointMotorsports
@BreakingPointMotorsports 4 жыл бұрын
I do believe only the 12-14 headrests have the same mounting but it is possible some other Ford headrests may fit. I am also not sure of how the framework of the focus headrest matches to the framework of the fiesta headrest so if you do try to swap over the cover it may or may not actually fit.
