They needed guidance and who does the director choose..mikey. wrong! He should have done his research. Mikey is too childish to lead the turtles. He was all fun and games. When times get tough splinter chose Leonardo to get the turtles heads in the game. Leo should have sung this song. Bottom line dude

But Leo's singing voice was trash, lol. Raph and Mikey were established as the lead singers. I appreciated the fact that they didn't give them all voices good enough to solo. Some voices are better as ensemble.

This song is motivational and one of the better songs in the show. It also changed my life. One of the reasons the show failed on Broadway was because I at least believe they had Michaelangelo sing this song. I know he is the party guy and the voice fits him for the other songs, but this song came at the moment the turtles were down and didn't know how to defeat shredder. They needed a turtle to lift them up and guide them. Leo is the leader.
