G'day mate, which numbers do you mean? The ones on the circles on either side of the keyboards are the stops. Stops on an organ are the different sounds the instrument makes, and the number listed on each indicates the pitch. An 8-foot stop sounds at the same pitch as a standard piano: middle C is middle C. A 16-foot stop has pipes twice as long (the length is measured on the lowest note) and sounds one octave below and 8-foot stop-middle C sounds like tenor C. In the same way, a 4 foot stop is half the length and sounds an octave higher. 2-foot is higher again. The ones with Roman numerals indicate stops where multiple pipes are played by pressing a single key. These are usually high harmonics of the key pressed (maybe a 19th, 22nd, and 25th for a Mixture III), and they make the sparkly effect organs have.
