As far as I can tell, people who cover this usually follow one of three models: the original Gatemouth Brown version, the Hollywood Fats version, or the Ronnie Earl version. Nick obviously chose the Fats version and he can really do it justice (not an easy task).

Acting...not so much. His guitar, drum, and vocal talent was out of this world. First tier, top notch, grandiose is where Nick ranks in my books. This world lost an amazing man too soon. Thank you Nick for everything you taught me and making me a better musician. Fuck cancer!

Except Jimmy Vaughan's style was a direct copy of a much much earlier black bluesman's style. I forgor the name of who it was.

@@arihautala224 I don't remember, and it was some famous black blues guy not so commonly known. Wish I could remember but it was years ago. Nothing new though. SRV was a Hendrix clone and an Albert King clone.

As a close personal friend to nick and family members id like to say Nick loved every minute of every show he played even when we were kids growing up.thank you for all the love and support given to him over the years we all still miss him dearly as he was not only a very talented musician he was the best friend and brother anyone could ever be R.I.P NICK
