this method didnt work as is for my new recent serial number unit as I was unable to connect on PORT 23. I was however able to connect on PORT 5024 and using a keygen script to generate the key codes I was able to reenter the new key and update to 120Mhz.

the 0.1mA seems locked to AC only.. its 1mA in DC with 6000 count. quite a pricepremium you then pay to get that 0.1mA AC geature in regards to the 210E that was as low as 25 to 30 USD a few years back, but 210E is also the favorit AC&DC clamp meter amongst the DC hobby segment..

Testování iniciací vybavení proudového chrániče má u UNI-T18C oproti konkurenci z Fluke jednu nectnost - zobrazované napětí v tu chvíli ukazuje nesmysly (napětí je zobrazeno podstatně nižší než skutečné). Byť se mi s UNI-T18C pracuje lépe nežli s FLUKE T150, tak fakt, že při zatížení měřeného obvodu ukazuje UNI-T18C nesmyslné napětí, je pro mne KO problém. Funkce "aktivace proudového chrániče" je použitelná i jindy než k aktivaci FI, kdy skutečně měřené napětí není podstatné (obvod se bleskurychle odpojí od sítě). Ale protože tímto způsobem lze nahradit starou dobrou elektromagnetickou vadasku, kdy jsou eliminovány naindukovaná napětí, tak považuji správné zobrazované napětí v režimu zvýšené zátěže obvodu za rozhodující vlastnost.

I just bought this meter and I dislike it. The building quality is really not as good as the fluke T5-600. Especially for the probes which feel very cheap and the vinyl cables probably won't last long. The measurements are very slow. This is the point where this meter fails for professional use. As an electrician you need fast and reliable metering of circuits. The continuity beep for instance takes about 2 seconds to beep. Inacceptable for industrial use. Also, it measures resistance first and then goes to continuity. While most people use continuity 90% of the time and measure resistance once in a while. If you want accurate Ohms measurement, you should really go to a real multimeter instead of a tester, but continuity is a simple feature and should really be on point for a tester. The beep is silent. If you work with other people you want a loud and clear beep. The flashlight is faint as well. I bought this meter as an alternative for the Fluke T5-600 because it was cheaper and has True RMS but I will go back to the expensive Fluke. EDIT: forgot to mention the Non contact Voltage measurement is useless. While this is the case on many meters, people should know that this feature is not something worth buying the meter for.
