NTA Advice regarding eligibility: Candidates should appear in the subject of their master's degree. If the master's subject is not listed then you may appear in the related subject. 1. Master’s Degree Candidates General/Unreserved/EWS: At least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university/institution in the relevant subject. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender: At least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent. 2. Candidates Pursuing Master’s Degree Candidates in the final year of their Master’s degree (or awaiting results) may apply. They will be admitted provisionally and must complete their Master’s with the required percentage within: Two years (if qualifying for JRF/Assistant Professor). One year (if qualifying for Ph.D. admission only). 3. Four-Year Bachelor’s Degree Candidates Candidates with a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree or equivalent are eligible for: JRF and Ph.D. admission only, not for Assistant Professor positions. They must have at least 75% marks (with relaxation of 5% for reserved categories). 4. Other Important Points Candidates should appear in the subject of their Master’s degree. If the Master’s subject is not listed, they may apply in a related subject. According to NTA ugc net, This is the exact eligibility criteria for UGC NET Ayurveda Biology. In my opinion BAMS students will be eligible because it is also a 4 years or equivalent professional bachelor degree.
