Dad KNOWS they like the sound and sensation of hitting the table, but they making a mess. He fusses at them that if you listen, reminds you of Lula Mae. Complete with, “you better not put that in your mouth,” with just enough urgent cadence that stops her in her tracks. While not in any child psychology classes I took, fussing at babies like they actually understand you apparently is surprising effective. However, I didn’t see either one of them get a “dish-rag” - another vestige of this generation. The gem of this clip is the end. While peace seemed so elusive; it has arrived. But one party really didn’t want peace - notice who is making a ruckus at the end…… Miss ya, Dad.
