Man this brings back memories. I grad in '95 and i listened to nothing but 102.7 when it was around and still remember the day they "officially" went off the air. I was classmates with Teflon Teff and I went to visit the station one night and got to touch the sacred almighty Sledgehammer. Miss you guys... there hasn't been a station like RFH and probably never will again.
@KathyWithaK17 күн бұрын
Wow! Teff/Tiff was Byron’s intern or on the air with Byron, if memory serves correctly. I wonder where some of the folks from RFH are nowadays; a few I’m still acquainted with though it’s been a long time in between talk stories. Hope all are healthy and well 🙏🏼 as are you! Thank you for stopping by ✌🏼

I saw her on her BLOWN AWAY tour a while back and it was definitely the best concert I had been to exclamation play. She is quite a showman camer. Her voice is so powerful and costume changes. Immaculate! 🎉I hope you enjoyed her even half as much as I did! Thank you so much for sharing! From one carry fan to another❤

OMG this takes me back - proof that you can find anything on the interweb in 2024. This song was amazing! In fact this era was amazing - I'm on Maui so I attended an Anesthesia show to two back in the day. Wish I had gotten to see these guys live, but every time this came on Radio Free I was stoked!

@@KathyWithaK Wow you have the real (vintage) deal! Treehouse sells film and reconditioned film cameras (as well as Polaroid). I still have my Minolta camera (purchased by my brother when as a musician in the 70’s and was playing in Japan). It still works, although my underwater Minolta digital camera only lasted 5 years. 🤔

Thank you Kathy for filming me as I’m archiving everything for Hulas’s and to be able to archive, organize and scan all these incredible memories and to be able to digitalize them, and put all this information together in folders, so I can edit and make a video of all this fantastic History! I also started making a spreadsheet so we know exactly what we have, and what we still need. In Feb I started the editing process, working in Final Cut Pro X, making the video for the 50th anniversary party. That celebration will happen in July 2024. July 17 and 18th. It will be a two day fabulous Party at Hula bar and lei stand! Celebrating her 50th birthday! at the Waikiki Grand Hotel on the second floor. 🎉 This is such an amazing story to tell, and going through all the 50 years of archives From Hula’s, the Wave, Malia’s Cantina, The Adam Baran film festival, Diamondhead Athletic Club, The Life Foundation, The Aloha Show Room. All these memories of so many different nightclubs, restaurants, and events, that Jack Law has been a part of, and owned over the past 50 years!! I’ve been finding them all in these boxes, photo albums, magazine albums, CDs, VHS tapes, and photo negatives! It’s been quite the journey! Thank you again Kathy for everything you do! For being my friend over the years! 🤗 And for archiving the archiving process at Hulas! 😍🌺🤙🌈 🤗
