Thank you for very informative video. As you will know, being early at Hurst is not nice in any significant wind, and being just at slack water leaves you fighting the tide the other side. So it is a work of art! Great care needed not to be over the edge of the Bramble Bank as waves jump up suddenly from nowhere.

our plastic fantastic cruiser would go through Hurst narrows against the tide provided sufficient wind and we kept right in by the end of the groins as I am sure every one knows trying to get through mid channel against the main rush of the tide impossible for all but the fastest of yachts and even then still a pretty thankless task. Can't see it worrying the AC 75's much. But for the rest of us probably best to have the donkey running even if not in gear.

I have not been on the Medina since the early 80's. Can't believe the changes, did some one drop a bomb on east Cowes? looks to have disappeared.
