I replace the plug wires and all the plugs.. it cranked and ran then died and wouldn’t crank again.. I replaced fuel pump,fuel injectors,spark plugs and wires and the starter,battery and battery terminals. Neighbor hooked up a computer to my 97 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo 6 cylinder.. it said ignition/distributor.. not sure where to start. I can’t afford to miss any work and get pointed out and lose my job so if anyone knows where I can start at

Anyone ever have their tailgate unable to unlock? I’ve reached in access area and manually unlocked it but didn’t solve this. Just won’t open.

Is it pluasable that there is enough space that a person could possibly close the tailgate ON the keyfob and essentially lock themselves OUT of the vehicle? Just wondering.

Yet another example of the poor build quality of Jeeps. I own two JKs, a 2011 and a 2015 and this issue has occurred numerous times with both of them. It's a shame that Jeep isn't owned by Honda or Toyota or a Korean company. Asians build cars so much better than Americans do. Quality control at Jeep in the USA is crap.

We have a 2000 jeep Cherokee. Have changed the coil rail and ignition crank sensor. Jeep still dies and has issues starting. Can you help.

@Shadetree Tech we changed the sensor in the back to the bellhousing and the map sensor it quit once that I know of but not since. The real and front sensor was changed first

Crank shaft position sensor and starter, believe that’s where I’m going to start. Car has power but no noise no turning over. Thank you for your guidance here will se how it goes.

OH MY GOODNESS! okay girly im so so glad you have a 1999 jeep. mine is an XJ, not sure what yours is. but i do know i hate the fact my jeep done NOT have 4x4 drive!!? IDK .. anyway, so my problem is of course no crank or start BUT i am able to bypass the starter relay and she starts right up no problem. so i thought i just needed a new relay right? NOPE!! nothing, didnt do a damn thing, so im thinking it might be the neutral safety switch?? possible right!! idk im a 33 year old female and been teaching myself threw google and of course youtube, if you or any of the guys on here have any ideas or thoughts feel free to speak your mind!

I have a 2015 JK Rubicon, tailgate latch is stuck. I tried pulling on the metal lever from the inside of the tailgate. Won't open. I can't fix it if I can't open it. Any ideas?

Sorry, but you forgot to mention the Neutral Safety Switch or the Starter Relay which based on my experience are more likely to result in a No Start issue.

I installed a new tailgate latch mechanism because the old one's plastic cam that engages the heavy metal body rail was worn out. Surprise! when the door will no longer open! I discovered that the new door latch mech had slightly different tolerances so I had to bend (thus straighten and lengthen) the short actuator rod with the green and plastic clips.
