Played this endlessly on eMusic when the album was released. To me, this is the best track from these sessions. Also, RIP eMusic, lol

I have followed The Cure since my teens in the 80's, and stumbled across Twilight Sad in 2012, been my favorite band since. And while I love The Cure, TS is better, the most underrated band of all time IMO.

What a song! Those harmonies at the end should have gone on for at least another 10 minutes! Fantastic!
@6ary5mith4 жыл бұрын
That was how Craig's original version was arranged (maybe not quite 10 mins)! The original was called Big City Takeover and had completely different lyrics in the chorus. That song was one of the main reasons we started getting attention when someone from Mushroom records took a liking. In the end he signed The Darkness and we went with V2.

@@6ary5mith Thanks for replying Gary, it's great to get a bit of insight into your amazing music. Although Embrace were the first gig my wife and I went to when we first started dating, you were the first band we saw live as you were supporting them so you and your band mean a lot to us! I will look forward to buying your vinyl at the end of the month! 😊
