Sure, it could be done but provided you know what you are doing. I started learning to build tube/valve amplifier in the late 60s. Because transistors was something new back then. And transistor amplifiers sound "terrible". It improved with the transformerless output and diirect coupled circuitry. Been doing electronic repairs till now.

SHOW THE FORMULA You should be ashamed by your ignorance. ...converted on the diode bridge to DC voltage and has a 1000 uf 16v filter capacitor WRONG - it is not a filter cap WRONG - justify the cap value. 1000 uF is so silly. ... is stored in a plastic box. So users can be completely assured! WRONG - that is just so WRONG; any exposed wire/contacts/joints/circuit is at mains live potential and so is DANGEROUS. @@victory-mg4xu This is nonsense. You connect one leg of the 220V through just one diode to the secondary side. If this leg is plugged into the hot side (and the chances to this are 50%) than you have 220V on the secondary side (DC coupled through the diode): If someone touches the plug of the secondary side and is also connected to ground via something else (wet ground for instance, or a heating element in the room), he is toast eventually. Look into your own diagram at 8:09 ... it is the lower path that goes from 220V to the secondary side through just one diode. The way to ground is not necessarily though your circuit ... THAT is what you entirely forgot, but that is how people often die when using cheap powersupplys.

Watching your video was a roller coaster, so thank you for that. Hazards: 220V AC between ground and output ☠️ (not isolated) In a no load condition, like if you plug it in the wall with nothing else attached, the 50V capacitor will be experiencing over 300V DC, the capacitor will explode and that voltage will be experienced at the output ☠️ What you’ve made is a noisy constant current DC power supply. If it was safe it may be ok for powering lights and perhaps vigilantly charging batteries in a pinch. It is not good for loads which are not constant like switching electronics. Please explain to people not to try this.
