Awesome Job. I really enjoy wearing it. More so than my more expensive mechanicals! I like how its designed with longevity in mind unlike most connected watches.

I own many high end mechanical watches and wanted something easy to wear for everyday but didnt want something like an apple watch that looks like a gadget. The Solar connect is the perfect daily wearer. Amazing build quality and unlike most smart watches, the Tissot should maintain its full functionality for a decade with ease. No need to worry about obsolescence as the software is all inhouse and I dont see bluetooth going away for many many many years. One question I have is if down the road, the batter loses its ability to hold charge, is it replaceable? Given the very few times it will go through a full charge cycle, I suspect that battery should last for a decade.

Dear Barry, AQUON One has just announced a new partnership with FRASER Yachts as their exclusive Sales Broker, as well as with Latitude Yachts as their partner shipyard (see their website NEWS www.aquon.ch/news/fraser-brokerage/ and www.aquon.ch/news/shipyard-latitude-yachts/). The development phase is completed and production starts with the first confirmed client. The first AQUON ONE solar and hydrogen catamaran is expected in the second half of 2023.

Bonjour, j'aurais besoin de quelque infos : - Peut programmer un réveil/alarme en mode silencieux (uniquement avec vibrations, sans sons) ? - Peut on choisir les applications qui peuvent envoyer des notifications à la montre ? Merci
@CSEM
@CSEM 2 жыл бұрын

One important drawback: the wake-up alarm is almost inaudible: not loud enough to wake-up you in the morning. I return the watch to Tissot to fix the issue and they told me that the sound level was OK. Unacceptable at this price level. They should fix this issue.

 Hi @Alain, thanks so much for contacting us and please be assured that your comments have reached the @Tissot team. To be as sustainable as possible this watch was designed and optimized to consume as little power as possible. To ensure this objective the watch has been equipped with a low power consuming alarm that cannot be adjusted in intensity.

wouldn't it be cool if this could help with global warming? as ice melts in the arctic there is less white surfaces for sun rays to bounce off which heats the water, melting more ice caps and so on, but if we could somehow spread large areas on white solar panels over places which once has ice caps maybe we could help to slow this process down? instead of having less white surfaces the bounce off the sun rays could be reflected by the white panels while also producing solar power! It probably wouldn't work logistically but i think it's a cool idea anyway. Coloured solar panels like these are a really interesting idea that i think will have many uses as the technology develops :)

I think you'll want to paint everything black, black absorbs solar radiation. White on the otherhand reflects solar radiation and thus is probably the last colour you'd want to have more of. When you have a heavy presence of greenhouse gases you obviously want to absorb, not reflect solar radiation. When you reflect solar radiation into the atmosphere it gets trapped by the greenhouse gases and heats up the planet, thus melting the ice caps. Unless you have no greenhouse gases (which is not the case) then reflecting is a great option to cool the planet, but you need to eliminate the greenhouse effect first. Materials wise iron, asphalt and bitumen absorb large amounts of solar radiation, roads are ineffect offsetting some of the greenhouse effect by absorbing solar radiation that would have otherwise been reflected back into the atmosphere and trapped...
