Some don’t raise daggerboard downwind. How much difference does it make?

Hi Robert, In the Aero there are probably two considerations on a run with respect to the daggerboard. 1) Does it feel wobbly? Yes, then more daggerboard 2) Are you in waves/chop where you are doing lots of upturns and downturns? Yes, then more daggerboard to facilitate the turns. For flat water and light wind then lift it as far as you are comfortable, rembering to drop it for the gybes so that you have something to roll against.
