Driving well is great...there are days when 3w goes 100y further than hooked driver... spends whatever time needed in time out. Scott having 18 birdies at 49 in Q qualifier is a heckuva lot of birdies for not trying for them. Like the small targets & minimizing the Tiger 5. I am a big believer in getting as close as possible on par fives & owning partial wedge distances...with intent to make as many birdies as possible. Thanks for the videos!

Is Scott against having a draw be your stock driver shot or he's just saying pick one shot shape and stick with it?

Just to pick one 👍 he likes mini driver instead of 3W for hitting draws too

A 5 hdcp. will three putt from 15 far more often than one putt of that tells you anything. If your playing competitive and haven't read any of dr. Bob's literature you are at a disadvantage.

I do - but here's the catch with watching those doubles.. I made it to the 14th the other day, then the dreaded double happened. I was a bit crushed for a couple of holes, so perhaps I need to learn to flick it off. I will watch your vids on breaking 80 - thanks Michael.

Got one of these for $250 during Christmas sales and love it. I’ve had the MLM2 Pro and tested the Garmin R10. I prefer the simplicity of the SC300i. Just set it down and swing away. No clunky app to deal with and no internet connection needed. I also like the swing speed measurement without hitting a ball. I was at a sim bay today because the range is closed due to weather. Distances were way off. Had the SC300i in my bag and got much more accurate distances.

In terms of random targets vs static, I’ll go down to the sim room and pick out a par 3 or spot in the fairway and hit shots for half an hour or whatever. It’s cool…like you’re playing a famous golf hole with no worries cause they’ve closed the course for only you to play😁
@wickedsmartgolf18 күн бұрын
Love it!
@Skyking697619 күн бұрын
Love going in the sim studio this time of year. Being mid-60’s I don’t practice a lot. However some sessions will only be practice. Mostly I’ll hit a few wedges, 7 iron, and driver swings. If everything is good, I’ll play 9 or 18. I can open the portal back at the recliner and review every shot overlaid on the course, with more shot data than you could ever want. The problem with a sim is watching a video or reading an article about the golf swing. You go try it in the sim cause it’s free…no bucket of balls to buy and you end up going down a rabbit hole🙄
@wickedsmartgolf18 күн бұрын
Very easy to do for sure, I suggest spending more time at the SIM working on wedges, basic iron drills, and going through your full pre-shot routine

Nice work! Can you talk about distance control methods for chipping? A lot is covered on setup and clubs for it, but actually controlling distance would be good. Ive been basing it on length of swing being ankle, calf, knee.. and with a 56 deg, i know the roll out will be about 50% of distance carried.
@wickedsmartgolf21 күн бұрын
I have a wedge matrix from 30-100 yards which I discussed a few days ago but in terms of around the greens I rely 100% on feel but always get clear on the lie, spin, and landing zone
@whitewhale-gq2kc21 күн бұрын
@wickedsmartgolf thank you! And yes I've watched you're wedge matrix episode as well. Very helpful! Solely feel is a bit tougher for the more average player. You're such a good player that it is all automatic I reckon for you.
