this is helpful! we learned it a different way, with a carve, but i can’t do it. so i’m trying to learn this way and this vid really helped! (kinda broke my nose doing a 45. still can’t do one)

FluffedStuffed i had just learned the toss and was practicing it. i blinked and the next thing i know the flag is on my face. and yes i am doing better. can finally do 45s!!

My rifle keeps spinning forwards(Like, the rifle itself doesn't stay in the same plane). Sometimes when I do it fast enough, I can keep it straight and spinning in the same plane.... But often times the rifle spins off the plane, like, it turns outwards or inwards or whatever, making it hard to catch it straight too. Ughgh wth am I doing wrong?

I'm trying to help my daughter do this toss. She keeps tossing the flag so that it comes down on her right, or straight over her head, instead of on her left where she should catch it. She's been doing it all week at band camp and still can't get it to go to the left. Any advice? Know this is an older video - Thanks for making it!

HHouser I'm glad to see people are still watching my tutorials! It probably isn't moving to the other side because her right arm is not tossing almost directly above her head. For now I would suggest for her to try tossing to the left almost exaggerately. There could be a bit of fear deep down when it comes to having the flag go across and over her head that needs to be overcome
