If you like metroidvanian style games, grab this, it's one of the best of its kind.

He uses the Disrupter to hack the three bugs and then detonates them perfect timing during wasp damage phase and if the bugs are aligned just right they do enough damage to kill the boss in one hit.

Well I can't really verify what it is in any way but I insist it being mIRC (connected to my twitch chat) though I can't say why I didn't care to move it away (even if single monitor didn't leave much screen estate since it's a widescreen game). I believe I was responding to chat on mIRC because both of those timestamps were downtime (you're controlling the boss at 20:52, while Trace moves and shoots by itself so you don't need to do anything). And for the respawn point, it's set in Ukkin-Na as soon as you enter the pathogen sequence. I performed the run live at ESA 2016 if you need something more solid.

I'm happier with Zeko's response than yours. Under that idea, you can start a game, pick up the gun, then warp twice for a win. Data manipulation is fine if done in game. That would not be in game. Edit: Oh, and why not cheat in all the upgrades too?

Speedrun.com only states, "Finish the Game as fast as possible by collecting as less Items (Logs, Upgrades, Weapons and Tools) as possible." So in theory that means: 0 attack up 0 size up 0 health up 0 range ups 0 notes Laser Drill High-jump white/brown/red coat Address Disruptor 1/2 Remote Drone Drone Teleport Sudran Key Starter weapon Nova - Needed for like 2 doors Kilver - Needed for literally one door Aside from health/power upgrades the main difference is you'd have to skip drone extended range since you can beat the game without it by using the address disruptor to constantly cancel cooldown.

Danielle Anderson yes it is completely out of the way but you cannot defeat the last boss without it. And that's because you have no hp and no power nodes to do dps, the enemies eat you alive. So the only way to kill athetos without power and hp nodes is by getting 3 things. Pass code tool, grapple, and flamethrower. You can skip drone launch but that's gonna make end rooms near impossible to dodge on the way to athetos. Not to mention doing e-kuh-mar without drone launch must be a living nightmare. With this being said I have completed a 14% low% run with only 1 power node, drone launch, pass code tool, flamethrower, and all the other essential upgrades you need. The reason I got the very first power node was because or killing enemies faster to hit certain cycles. It was way more manageable than not having any power and re learning new cycles for all the rooms.

There are two really big sequence breaks. There's the save warp at 17:14, which gets him all the way across the map and across a point of no return that needs the Grapple, so he can enter Ukkin-Na early. And then at 23:28 he clips through a barrier in Edin that you need the Address Bomb to destroy, which gets him the Drone Teleport early. Those are the parts where he actually skips a required item - everything else is just drone warps and incredibly clean movement.

It's been a while since I last played but try to experiment with positioning yourself to back it up to a spot where you can glitch the bugs easily without getting hit and they are near it's mouth when they open it. (they float slowly up after bouncing off the floor. the glitching speed seems to change a tiny bit with vsync off so check that also)

I noticed that, which makes this Speedrun impossible to be made again, making it impossible to ever get this run off the top 1# fastest run any%. They should remove it, or make leaderboards separated by each patch that has an impact as huge as this one.

What do you mean? The red coat teleport deals damage which is the majority of the damage output. I do use a keyboard which is much easier to mash the teleports on, though one or more of the top players used controller

I have struggled many times with final boss, its basically the only thing holding me back from beating a PB. I just cant seem to float in the air as long as you are. But maybe I just need to keep practicing. I have made it to final boss @ 44min just cant spam kill him fast enough. I really enjoyed watching your run and have used many of your tricks to mesh with my run. thanks again.

I tried it with my mechanical gaming keyboard aswell as with controller ... I cannot float in the air like u do at sentinel/athetos no matter how hard I mash ... something aint right
