I am not Jewish but Texan, haha. BUT ! I attend a Messianic Jewish congregation where all the feasts and festivals are followed, I go because they keep the Sabbath and it is my only option besides an SDA church which I do not care to belong. Very good message as always sir. Thank you for explaining this to us. Bruce.

PAUL🇬🇧 People are stating that Israel started this war. I believe there is an least 1 million Arabs in Israel, I'm not including the population of Gaza / West Bank. So why did the Palestinians not sue for peace. Why didn't they use the foreign aid money for 20 years, on peace. Because they hate Israel, they have been brainwashed by Islamic propaganda. Look at the rich Islamic states, especially Singapore an Islamic state at peace, look at the result.

There is a ' Palestinian' state. But the 'Palestinians' who formed it in 1947, preferred to call it Jordan. Their choice of name shows how 'Palestinian' they considered themselves.

Hello Benjamín, what you say is half true. Yes, there has been a Palestinian state since 1946 and it is called Jordan. In 1921, the British divided the British Mandate of Palestine State of Israel into 2, giving most of the territory, 80% to the Palestinian Arabs, with the name of the Emirate of Transjordan, and putting in charge of that British protectorate a Hashemite monarchy, although the population was mostly Palestinian Arabs and Palestinian Jews. The remaining 20% of the territory (Today Israel, including the West Bank) was given to the Palestinian Jews. In 1946 the emirate of Transjordan became independent, without respecting the historical Jewish territorial spaces or those populated by Jews, not even the UN, which already existed, ruled on a partition of Arab and Jewish territories, and what is known today was created like Jordan absolutely unilaterally, completely Arab. Today 60% of them are Palestinians, and almost no Jews. In the case of Israel it was different, in 1947 the Arabs in general did not want a Jewish state, because that went against the pan-Arabism of the time, and the British handed the problem over to the UN, and the UN proposed a partition. dividing that small piece of land into Arab zones and Jewish zones. And the Arabs did not agree. Israel then became independent in 1948, just as Transjordan did, without partition. You know the rest of the story.

Yes, Jordan was supposed to be the Palestinian state but their leaders rejected it. Historically, Jordanians are actually Palestinians.

@@norab2125 I suggest you do a little more research. In 1948, when the Arab League attacked Israel, approximately 700,000 Palestinian Arabs went to the side of the Arab League to fight against the Israelis. And Jordan occupied Judea and Samaria (the West Bank). So by 1966, there were 700,000 Palestinian Arabs, from Israel, refugees in Jordan. In 1967, after the 6-day war, there were 1,000,000. This fundamentalist Palestinian population, refugee in Jordan, in a very short time became known as the Fedayin, a heavily armed resistance group against the Jordanian monarchy. , with terrorist acts. And in 1970, the Fedayin revolution broke out openly, with armed confrontations, massacres of civilians, international terrorist attacks, kidnappings, etc. all this with the support of the Syrian army, against the Jordanian monarchy. They even invaded the northern part of Jordan with tanks. In 1971, the Jordanian Monarchy was able to stop the coup d'état, and they expelled the Fedayin population (fundamentalist Palestinian Arabs) from the country.

Offer charity is an act of kindness. Charity can be in the form of money, food, clothing, and helping people to facilitate certain things that benefit the less fortunate, giving help to the family of the deceased. The dead leave this world. Nothing he or she can bring along.

Thank you, Rabbi for another wonderful, thought provoking lesson. It brought me back to the first proclamation of primary school catechism, “Where is God, God is everywhere”. He is everywhere because He is in everyone. When I witness suffering, I am the “hands” of God in that place at that time, that is how God expects me to behave. Anyway, that is my interpretation. Shalom.

The truth is recorded in the Bible. To start off, the scattered Arabs in their origin have no place in Israel. Even if they claimed they are from Abraham's firstborn bloodline, they should know what to do to live in peace and harmony in the land promised by God Almighty to the Israelites.

In regards to the Mosaic Covenant, after Israel’s informal initial acceptance of the covenant with the Lord in Exodus 19:4-8 but before their formal acceptance ceremony in Exodus 24, the Land Promise comes up. In Exodus 23:31, the Lord promises through Moses, “I will set your borders from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates River.” This description of boundaries in Exodus 23:31 is fairly close to what Abraham was told in Genesis 15:18, with somewhat more detail: “I give this land to your offspring, from the Brook of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates River.” The main point here, though, is that the Exodus passage stating boundaries for the Promised Land is smack in the middle of the first section of the Mosaic Law. That observation makes it clear that the Land Promise is interwoven to some degree with the Mosaic Covenant. The more well-known of the Davidic Covenant passages is 2 Samuel 7:12-16. Only two verses before the beginning of that passage, these words are found: I will designate a place for my people Israel and plant them, so that they may live there and not be disturbed again (v. 10). Such a “place” is the Land, which is clearly on the Lord’s mind as He spoke through Nathan the prophet to David. So, if nothing else, Israel having a “place” land-wise was closely related to the covenant He was about to make with David and his descendants in regard to a royal house for Israel. The relationship between Israel’s Land Promise and the New Covenant is just as easy to spot. A few verses after Jeremiah 31:31-34, the only passage in the Hebrew Bible that uses the wording “New Covenant,” these words are found, speaking of parts of Jerusalem that were currently rubble: Look, the days are coming … when the city … will be rebuilt for the Lord…. It will never be uprooted or demolished again (31:38, 40). The other well-known New Covenant passage is Ezekiel 36:24-28, which promises, among other features, “I will place my Spirit within you and cause you to follow my statutes and carefully observe my ordinances” (36:27). Just before that verse, the lead-in verse (v. 24) to Ezekiel’s version of the New Covenant states: “For I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and will bring you into your own land.” (Your own land-that’s one way the Lord looks at the Promised Land.) Then, one verse after Ezekiel’s statement about placing the Holy Spirit within Israel, are these words: “You will live in the land that I gave your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God” (37:28).

A popular interpretation of Genesis 12:1-3 is that God is speaking of the nation that will become Israel and, subsequently, that all who “bless” Israel will be blessed themselves. In the world of the Bible, a nation is a far more localized concept than we might imagine, and, for Israel in particular, many scholars speculate that it is unlikely that Israel moved beyond its conceptualized nation-state into actualization. So although it might feel natural to read Bible stories as scenes from history, we might better approach the complexity of biblical texts by keeping in mind that they were written by communities seeking to make sense of their identity and relationship to the Divine, and that not all of their hopes and ideals came to fruition. Another popular understanding of Israel as the Promised Land comes from Genesis 17, where God’s covenant with Abraham and his offspring is affirmed, and God promises to be the God of Abraham’s offspring and gift them the land of Canaan for “a perpetual holding.”

Israel is the land where God commissioned a small, insignificant group of people to change the world for eternity. God referred to Israel as “His people” (Deuteronomy 7:6); His “treasured possession” (Psalm 135:4), and even the “apple of His eye” (Zechariah 2:8).

@@therabbisstudy1718 Israel-Kingdom of Israel-House of David. How could a "State of Israel be created by a foreign deity, ie, Brittish Empire when Israel has been in existence since Moses freed the Israelites and led them out of Egypt. My question being, Palastine never existed is what I learned in history as that was known as Judea, the very word Palastine comes from Philistine which was a degrotary word used by the Romans. The word Palastine itself is not in the Bible. Thank you for replying to me.
