When shooting outside in sunlight with the iPhone, do you routinely use ND filters? I ask, because your footage often looks like you're using a high shutter speed.

Thanks Antonio--have you been to Taos?
@AntonioSanchez-yl9wj6 күн бұрын
@ Yes, we visited Taos both in summer and winter. It’s the same Pueblo, but in winter, the snow becomes part of the architecture and landscape, blending beautifully.

I’ll be in New Mexico this Christmas, this time in Roswell. Have you ever visited Carlsbad Caverns? As you know, New Mexico is full of treasures and offers incredible opportunities for photography.

@@AntonioSanchez-yl9wj It sure is--I haven't done that part of NM, but hope to get there this spring. Carlsbad C., White Sands, Las Cruces. So many great places to explore!

ULH makes a mobile lens hood that snaps over the lens on your phone and blocks out interior glare when you shoot through a window at night.

The evening and night time portion of the time lapse looks great. Bummer about the reflection of the interior lights showing up on the video. Also, thank you for including the settings for Blackmagic Cam.

Any time. Have you checked out the Blackmagic app yet? It's a little hard to figure out, but once you do, it's fantastic.
@ToddfromLA9 күн бұрын
@@PhotowalksTV I’ve had the Blackmagic app on the phone but have not used it. I need to watch some KZbin tutorials about it. Are you now using it instead of the native app for shooting video? Also, the Camera Control, are you using it? Thank you.
@PhotowalksTV9 күн бұрын
@ToddfromLA nix on Camera Control button. It’s awkward and doesn’t make things smoother in field. I shoot most video in Blackmagic except when it’s an interview and I want the Cinematic look. But I always start with BMC app first to check audio. It has audio meters!

Thank you for sharing! Mom and I are great fans of Georgia O’Keefe’s works! I took mom on a road trip several years ago specifically to visit the museum in Albuquerque and it was such a treat and a wonderful bonding moment. We ran out of time and didn’t make it to Abiquiu unfortunately. Mom is now 95 and I am hoping for at least one more road trip with her, hopefully to New Mexico and Abiquiu. ❤🙏🏻🤞🏻

A great spot on the south part of highway 1 is Redwood Gulch. There is no trail. You hike directly in the steep canyon bottom.. Its like being in land-of-the-giants, The canyon is lined with giant boulders and majestic Redwoods. You're scrambling over huge boulders, doing log walks on giant fallen redwoods to cross pools of water and crawling under other fallen Redwoods. Its about 20 miles north of San Simeon. There are no signs, but a large pull out. Its so unique that I once took 9 friends on a day trip to hike it.
