Its very simple and pretty fast, definitely a farm you could try to make early and not worry for a while. But, eventually, people would want to level up from this one as their world and builds become more demanding. For example, the best looking one I've seen for vanilla minecraft is the automatic cobblestone generator from Shulkercraft. They have an easy tutorial on their channel and it produces over 70,000 p/hr.

There is also a 120,000 stone per hour farm that I build for crazy project but this generator Is best for making repeaters kind of stuff. This do not require further smelting to turn it in to stone. By the way Shulkercraft tutorials are amazing.

Nope. None of the drops burn in lava because hoppers pick them quickly
