I agree. The plane is a pure pleasure to fly and when all VOR stations work in the sim and you don't have to cheat and peak at nav map it's beyond compare!

Next Tuesday (I doubt I will have time this weekend) I will do a return flight from Tallinn, Estonia back to Riga, Latvia and at that point I might do a non commentary Cold and Dark to Takeoff as I did with Dash7 some time ago. I'm arm chair pilot only, so the procedures are not real life, but I try to keep them as close to reality as I can. Regarding moving to msfs2024 I wasn't planning to be honest. I like 2020, looking at 2024 it does not seem to be that much different, only pitty Carenado decided to do planes for 2024 only instead of 2020 as well.

Hi Aharon It sounds like either your aircraft needs to be reinstalled or something is conflicting with it. I won't be able to help you with this one, I long moved onto MSFS2020 since. Didn't look back at VCol a220 since. Tried their ERJ170 in MSFS but it's as bad as a220 for FSX.

Greenland if definately worth exploring. Challenging approaches, whiteout approaches in clear blue sky conditions, snow storm in middle of nowhere! IT's worth a try :)

Hello To be honest, the shortest answer to your question is I don't know. I was never a great scenery creator in FSX, but I don't think you can change that yourself. I think, the only was to replace default runway with "as in real life" one would be if creator of the scenery did that, but I don't know (or don't remember now) how to do that. Sorry. Virtualcol was not the best content creator, maybe try looking for something a bit more up to date with modern standards?

Hello If I remember correctly, you can't start Vcol aircrafts in complete Cold and Dark. There was a trick with default cessna I think, where you launched a flight in default cessna, switched everything off and saved flight as default and that made most of the aircrafts to start in cold and dark. Anyway, as far as I can remember, the cold and dark in this aircraft was created by myself for the recording purposes - in other words, I switched everything off and than started recording. If you're thinking about getting this aircraft - don't. Or torrent it or something, don't pay for it, it's not payware level, especially if you're flying PMDG or Aerosoft or similar. You won't enjoy this one at all.

Hello I'm using Luke AirTool. There's an option to have announcement within the little program. You can find it on flightsim.to but I'm sure the guy has discord or something, so you can just google it and you should find it this way or another. The announcements in this video are part of voice pack I made for airtool, but I did nomt make the sounds myself.

@@pandamisha nice I’ve tried Luke air tool before but most of the time the announcements have been really quiet and distorted for easyJet at least, about the sound pack you created, is it shareable so like maybe for example I could download it (I’ve only tried airtool once so I’m not too familiar with it)

Hello Thank you. Well, sounding a bit cocky if I look back at how many years I have been flying, than I'd say that I don't expect anything less of myself :) Regarding the aircraft. I am very happy that it's here but FSS has a lots to work on here before thinking of releasing ankther type. MFD controls freeze MFD, there are no strobes, contact points at the start of simulation should be corrected, strobe lights don't work, no vnav, aircraft is not capable of RNAV approaches, some sounds don't work after SU14 (again), MFD functions are not fully operational... there's A LOT to do before getting onto another adventure with e190/195

Thank you. That's because when I want to find out something about the video, like what aircraft is it, what scenery, where are they flying to etc I look at description. I never wanted to bother people with questions like "oh, by the way, where did you get this aircraft from?" etc. I put it in description and hope it will be clear enough :D

It is ideal plane for Greenland. At least until Dash8-200 comes out, but this one is fantastic on these hops. Just remember, with RPM set at 1070 and power at 4800 your fuel burn will be around 1600kg/h. It does drink fuel like Russians vodka :D

Hello For the static aircrafts? These come from RLTS traffic. I personally don't use any additional AI traffic, it is too heavy for my machine and I value flight experience over live traffic. The static aircrafts in this scenery came with the scenery. In other my videos, wher ever you see static aircrafts you can assume they come with scenery or from RLTS pack.

Thank you :) There's a wheel for v/s to te side from AP and YD buttons. Use ths one. I personally set the altitude, hit alt arm and than trim aircraft and when I get v/s I wnt than I hit v/s button on the autopilot panel.

Now I know exactly, I used it. So, it'[s actually quite easy. You have to set your altitude, click ALT ARM and having V/S mode ON use the wheel below A/P & Y/D switch. You will notice immediately aircraft reacting. If you won't have V/S ON, than the aircraft will not react. Safe landings!

Above altilute indicatior, below clock, see the green NAV or GPS? It is a puch button. NAV, emans aircraft is receiving ILS/VOR signals and can do ILS landing, GPS will follow the course. You can change this mode via GNS350 as well. When NAV is illuminated, aircraft will not follow flight plan, press it and turn it to GPS mode, than hit NAV button on autopilot panel (immediately to the right from HDG button) and the aircraft will follow the flight plan - kind of do LNAV.

Maybe the guy got a raise or he's the only person in the world who enjoys his work 😂

Hello Thank you for comment. Yes, after recent update Greenland really look magnificent. Yes, there's ATR in the sim, both ATR 42 and 72 both -600 versions. They were made with cooperation with ATR itself so it's a good simulation there. The ATR aircraft is not entirely suitable for Greenlanding runways, I tried already :)

No, the scenery as well as enhancement pack for it is available at flightsim.to At this moment that's the only scenery of Nuuk that's decent. You could use TL Creation Greenland pack (with appropriate enhancement for it) but it's not much different to freeware version (when you get appropriate enhancement pack)

Sorry for late reply. No Sir, ATR does not have IAS hold mode. I'm not familiar with any turboprop fitted with such systems. It's all manual :) Virtualcol is really really bad for learning to fly turboprop (there's flight dynamics mod on flightsim.com for Virtualcol ATR 72 and 42 if you want to make them nice and close to real). For FSX I'd recommend Carenado's ATR 42 or 72.

Sorry, don't do FSX :P But it's generally quite easy - watch any tutorial on how to start F1 ATR and remember, that in order to get all systems working on this merge, you need to get these running thru 2D panels, not via VC. Some systems can be switched on via VC, but I'm sorry, don't remember which can and which can not.

I'm waiting for dash8 in MSFS :) when it comes to -200 series, I hope they will be equiped with both analog and blass cockpit :) that would be awesome. Virtualcol is supposed to be working on Dash8 series...

Hello Sensitivity as in joystick sensitivity? I had these reduced after making this video by around 20% so it would not be as touchy with every turn of the joystick :)
