I think its terrible to bait a person with part of a pattern only to make them have to 5. 50 to be able to finish it.

My original comment was to support commenters asking for full tutorials from the creator. Understanding many of us are learning to love crocheting & search for skills through videos. She replied to me right away as noted below and I’m extremely impressed by her response & support her business model. Even before seeing her reply I decided to follow her guidance to other commenters & purchased her full afghan club patterns on ravelry. I was surprised at the cost & how affordable it was & how easy to click a link to her one -on-one tutorials (that’s how great the tutorial was). It was worth it & I’m starting a blanket today. Her professionalism & willingness to answer my questions and concerns earned not only a loyal subscriber but a loyal customer as well. Aloha!

I have been designing and selling my patterns for 17 years. I am doing some video demos now, but since the patterns are not freebies, the video demos are linked in the patterns themselves. I am not hugely concerned about building my KZbin channel in a selfish sort of way like that, but thanks for you comments.

@@hollanddesignscrochetI’m so impressed with your reply! I just purchased your entire 2024 afghan club & was easily able to click on the videos for help. I’m impressed & understand your business model. I’ll be modifying my comment to support your business. If you do teach openly in the future would be great too as some people can’t afford to pay for this information & can give you the loyalty in return. The format of your videos, your teaching style, voice etc is very easy to follow & motivating. But I totally understand your reasons. Thank you for replying & I’m excited to start one of your patterns all the way from a little town on the island of Hawai’i. Lots of loved ones & family in New Zealand. Sending love and Aloha 🌺

I totally love how this design looks however the video does not explain the pattern properly for when she is decreasing. Apparently decreasing is 'very simple' so she skips rows 1 & 2 of making the decreases. This makes me mad because I can't make this beautiful square.😤

How many skeins are required for a twin size-ish blanket? I'm trying to gauge total cost so I can find someone who would be able to create this for me.
@hollanddesignscrochetАй бұрын
A good estimate would be 12 skeins of this Yatsal Jumbo Muffin. Sample used about 4 skeins for size approx. 30" x 40". It's always good to overestimate a little. Since this pattern has a lot of stretch to it, you may wish to add a border to help widen it if needed.

@@mariecampanile5642 I am sure you can appreciate that available yarns change continually and will vary based on location. Yarns available here in New Zealand may not be widely available other places. This pattern was designed 5 years ago. The Value Ball Gradients packs still come out from time to time here, but often with different color combinations. I don't know where you're based, but I often recommend www.herrschners.com, based in Wisconsin, USA. They have gradient yarn packs available on their site. All this detailed information is included in the written pattern, so you'll see that if you have your copy. Thanks.
