Lovely. Came here after hearing this performed by the BBC Singers at The Last Night of the Proms (last night). Very fitting for this September month, which has turned quite cold. A timely reminder that summer is gone.

My only critique is of the pianist who is not playing notes together that are written as such in the introduction. It's not the pianist's option to "roll" notes that are supposed to be played together! The conductor should have caught that and nipped it in the bud from the very beginning of rehearsals of this piece.

Actually the pianist carries his sloppy habit thoroughout the piece except for the short section that is sung acapella.

Too pedantic a performance of this piece. Clear articulation.

Nicely done. We are learning this number in my chorus --- a 'vocal ensemble' of 18 voices. I have looked for it online and mostly found larger choirs performing (100 voices and more). I like the feel of it better with the smaller number in the group. Thanks again for posting it here.

Oh, I see. I stumbled upon this channel thinking that it was a choir giving praises to God. I so was wrong to assume. They are nature worshippers. You must also know that the very nature you are worshiping was created by the almighty God.

I guess I need to assume this is not a church choir. This song went on for 4 minutes, not once have I heard the name of God or Jesus mentioned. It's all about give me all your dreams, you, dreamer.

??? Did you read the description. The text is a poem by Langston Hughes...

The tempo, balance, colour, and overall energy were just right. My personal thanks for this truly wonderful performance :-) [Ken, arranger]

Very good rendition. I especially appreciate the subtitles. I’ve shared other versions of this piece, only to have the recipient ask me for the text. This will be the version I share in the future.
