(Just going to insert the 'this is based on a good/established product caveat' in here) - I've run a bunch of sponsored brands ads on all types of products over years and Sponsored Brands (vids/carousel) are good converters but don't add any discernible organic value/kw ranking value to your listing. So, for me, if you're not running SB campaigns below a break even ACoS you're losing money, because the mitigating factor for running campaigns like sponsored products over ACoS is for gaining organic ranking, which isn't there with SB. On top of that you're probably going to be targeting your best keyword terms with them which means, because SB are such good converters, you'll likely ('will' in my experience) cannibalise the sponsored product campaign sales (which do generate organic ranking) which are targeting the same key words a little further down the page and also your organic results (free sales and more organic ranking) - so now you've increased your % of PPC sales and lowered your organics and increased spend for no benefit. I've improved TACOS and net profit by removing them completely in some cases. Because every product is different the key thing as always is to closely track sales metrics/breakdown weekly and see what they do to sales patterns but for me if a SB target is not significantly below ACoS it's getting binned.

Yes SP drives the most volume, but SB can be a useful means to an end can't it? The reason I ask is because in some countries (especially Europe) the SB clicks are fantastically cheap and can convert against higher volume search terms which I've found new products struggle with (on SP) Could be a case of doing SB for launch and SP once you have some reviews? Bit of an alternative method but I'll try as an experiment and let you know results

Hey Riku, great video with you and Clare. Perfect timing with this video considering I was looking more into this topic and you just launched this video a few days ago. How do you determine which hours to be active other than the "infomercial hours" general rule of thumb? We have a product that sells for the majority of the day except during a very specific time frame of 10pm to 4am. And it seems to sell more units between 5am and 9am. Would you suggest boosting budget during hours it already sells (5am and 9am)? Or would you suggest trying to gain more sales during hours it may not be visible/converting (9pm - 12am)?
