That's a lot of waste material on the supports! You can preview the result in the slicer to see if it will fail at the top, mine never do, that print could have taken half the time with less supports.

hi and thank you very much for your video, I also have this 5M and I am particularly satisfied with it, however I wanted to know if your tray makes clicking noises when heating and cooling it? because mine does, even if the print quality is there it's always a little annoying this expansion noise which apparently is not a problem for the machine according to the brand's after-sales service, thank you.

Mine clicks. Haven’t bother taking the bed apart to see what it is since I live never had a problem after like 100hrs of printing.

Unfortunately 3D printers require some level of understanding of 3d modeling and technical knowledge. If you want it to be as easy as printing on paper than you still have to wait probably couple of years... we are no there yet 🤷‍♂️

Bruh, learn how to print. Definitely user error. I have this same printer for 3 months now, zero issues. Btw, imI would suggest you picked up the Bambu Lab P1P over the K1 max. It prints crazy fast, especially on ludicrous mode.

I think that gpd needed to add a little bulge in the places where we will hold. thanks to this, it would be more convenient for us to play and also the radiator (maybe the cooler, I don’t know) would not be blocked due to the fact that it would stand on the table

Buddy got a K1 Max and his first layer wasnt looking too good. Nothing he could do about it because there are no levelling knobs. Love the Elegoo because it has the auto bed leveling but also the adjustments to fine adjust it. Buddy returned the K1Max for a Bambu and he had same layer issue with Bambu, and you cant adjust the bed springs on it either.

I have been printing on a 4 Pro for about 1-2 months now and I'm also having the same problems as you. My prints started out fine with good bed adhesion and everything came out perfect for about a few weeks. Only now i'm having bad bed adhesion and print warping with no settings changed. I swapped out my filament to a better brand rather than the weird Amazon brands and the problem still occurred. Also would recommend you try to keep your fingers from touching the build plate because over time it can ruin bed adhesion from finger oils.

Ideally, blaming the user shouldn’t be a thing in product development it should just be easy to use. Unfortunately that’s still not the case in the hobbyist 3D printing world. That said people commenting are sort of correct in that returning this and getting a different one probably won’t solve these types of issues. Start small.

I am a Prusa Slicer fan. I've tried them all (Cura, Orca, Cura Print and so on) and Prusa is by far the best in my opinion. I have had issues that Cura would not slice files correctly and leave gaps in between layers. After many changes and failed attempts with Cura and Cura Print, I had tried Orca and then Prusa. Orca made my machine run very violently. I don't know how else to describe it. Very fast no matter at what speeds I set. Very jerky no matter how i configured jerk control. Just not good. Prusa is fast without trying to destroy your machine, easy, and it just works!

It;s possible you might genuinely have a defect in your machine - but the general trend is that >90% of the time, problems like this are user error. Returning a whole machine after it's been damaged like this through what is likely user error will only perpetuate the falling off of product quality on stores like Amazon. You're asking the manufacturer to take a loss because of your own user error with what is still very well known as an experimental technology. That is not a sustainable business model if you want quality, reliable products. Open to the possibility this issue wasn't your fault, but it stinks of irresponsible consumerism.

So, are you going to return the K1 Max too if you get a filament blob on the hotend? You should learn more about 3D printing otherwise you are going to return every printer you buy.

I have N4 Pro and love it and even using Cura 5.6 My buddy was having similar issues turned out he wasn't putting filament rolls back in packaging, just leaving them out. Had him put in a brand new sealed roll and printed without issues. Try drying out the rolls there are different methods you can find on KZbin.

New to 3D printing myself, Neptune 3 plus was recommended but I bought the 4 plus. Its really loud so be prepared for that. I have to do a lot of preventive maintenance every couple of days (things coming lose, the bed is warped and needs adjustment and releveling often). I have slowed down the bed speed because of just what you said, the taller the item the more it might move. I also think that the free STL files might not all work. I'm not ready to give up on the 4 plus yet but damn it a pain to work with. Brings to mind the statement..... If I had it to do over again.........

Ive been printing for over 6 years and decided to upgrade my equipment to some of the newer machines that have been coming out so I got the Neptune 4 plus and It is really a good machine. I havent had to tweak it once yet apart from initial setup. I do 3D modelling and design prototype so I havenet had time to mess with it, it just works, 80 hrs of print time so far, thing is lightning fast lol I'm from the 60mm/s world so I was blown away. happy printing :)

You say... "I came back and I found this". Never leave a 3d printer unattended until you can consistently get successful prints 100% of the time. When you leave them unattended and things go wrong, that's when printers get destroyed.

When you set your z offset you should do that on printing temperature.. otherwise when you do that cold and start a proint you will be printing to high and not get a good adhesion to the bed. that is probably why you had that blob... as soon as it starts to let loose it's verry easy to blob on the hotend. Hope you will have more luck with youre new printer but I think the neptune 4 plus is pretty good. I did a few big prints 0 problems also whith tall thin prints ... with orca slicer

I have the Neptune 4 and have been printing more or less the entire time since December 8th (now 25th). A lot of Nube errors or problems with the free files I have been printing. Great printer and as I learn my prints are better and better. I am sticking with the Elegoo Cura for now and not letting it update as I learn. I am getting close to doing the firmware update to the machine and display. Was able to print a few 2nd dynasty items, the 270 type "L" and the 28mm Modular Cutter. Both were multi build plate jobs. I have used about 5 kilos of PLA so far. To be honest, my real issues have been with the free stl files just being poorly optimized to print - I would say that is why they were free. the 2nd dynasty stuff is all paid for and my issues were all user and not machine or design. I think Elegoo is making good machines, but maybe quality is hit or miss? My machine is A+ but the operator is D or C- at best.

Spot on, Im on the 4th or 5th roll of pla + on my 4 plus and its a great printer even for a first timer if they are willing to do a bit of research on slicer setting etc to fine tune. I heard the firmware update was hard and could crash the unit but I just followed the elegoo website links and instructions with the fix pack and update and was done in no time even for a novice who doesnt really know a thing about computers. Using Prusaslicer and no real issues aside from a bit of filament breaking off in the extruder which I had to pull apart to get out but I’d say thats a filament fault not the printer
