Just wondering if while using battle driven madness are you taking 20% more dmg while crouched and using the turn radius and crouch during fights? Wouldn’t be better if using crouch to turn mid fight to use shield so you have more armor while turning then uncrouch to get normal dmg output?

I do agree some of the mods are kinda crazy and stupid but that’s the freedom of the modding side. It allows creativity and freedom which is a pretty amazing thing to have if you want a healthy community for a game like this. I touched on this in a video I made! (shameless plug I’m sorry)

You need to change your mindset of "Please make something that's going to actually contribute and actually do something good for the community." It isn't their job to make things for us, they aren't paid unless specifically commissioned like the velociraptor or the giant salamander. They make mods because they like PoT and want to add their own creatures be it real or fantasy not because they owe us anything. Besides no matter how weird, op, or "dumb" a mod is it contributes by adding content to the game. Its also easy to avoid mods by not playing on servers that have them. Regardless every mod has its fans just because you don't like certain ones doesn't make them a bad choice for the game. Also when you say "no offense but" and then say something offensive it doesn't make it less offensive. You'd be much better off saying something like "While I acknowledge the work modders put into their mods many of the mods aren't at a standard I'd hope to see in the game" That would be received better than straight shittin on em like they work for the community and aren't delivering lol.

It is a hot take, not because you dont like them, but because youre shitting on them. Learn how to articulate what you feel without insulting what people do and bring to the game for FREE btw.

There seems to be some form of misconception that mods need to "contribute", and to be what "you" want I'm one of the most active people in and around the entire modding community, and I started as a player a couple years back. And I decided I wanted to learn how to make mods. So I spent a year learning how to balance stuff out, and how to make creatures unique. And then I spent a year and a half learning how to model, from scratch. And I learned how to do work with sounds over half a year as well. And how to do skin work. Just getting to the point where I"m even capable of making a mod has taken WELL over a thousand hours of trial, error, research, and practicing, and I'm being generously low here. That's excluding learning how to Code, or work with Unreal Engine, or animate (which I haven't learned yet). I have been working tirelessly to get to where I am, where I have access to the DevKit to make mods, and the assets to make said mods. ClaytonBaby/Claydrian has been learning alongside me the whole time, and I pushed to get him invited into the Modding teams I am a part of. He got a bit of a head start because he got the DevKit first (good for him), but he's also had to learn a pile of other nightmares to get there. The sheer disrespect to tell him that he has to stop after all the effort he has put in to get to where he is beyond just ignorance, it's revolting. Even outside of the sheer amount of effort to get to the point where you know what you are doing to make a mod, being generous, making the assets for a mod alone is exceeding 100 hours. - Skins: 36 Hours, if only 3 hours per skin, for all 3 variations, and the baby skin, which is minimalistic at best when a lot of the more complex skins can take as much as 10 hours each - Model: 5 Hours, if you're good with topology - Sculpting: 20 - 80 Hours, depending on how complex the model as a whole is. Feilong does every single scale on the model, by hand. I've seen him do it (and he spams my DMs with his progress) - Texturing: 5 Hours, assuming you use the Sculpt for everything and get things sorted out nicely - Sounds: 30 Hours, assuming you get all the variations of every sound done in about an hour, which is being far more than generous and could reasonably be upped to 50 hours - Animation: 70 Hours, assuming only 2 hour per animation, which is minimalistic but sure, and combining the times for the various locomotion animations as variants and reusable - Coding: 15 Hours, assuming you're a premier coder like Feilong who can blitz through everything at the speed of light, and already know how to fix almost any bug as soon as it's reported in testing - Abilities: Derived playable kits take literal hours of brainstorming between groups of people to get together, so I'll be generous and say 4 Hours - Icons for Stuff: Assuming you use only vanilla icons, about an hour. If you use custom icons for a couple things, 3 hours or so. If all custom, probably about 12 hours being generous Even cutting out the major parts like bug testing and stability prior to release, as well as the FINANCIAL cost that is applied to many modders as they outsource the likes of Animation, Skins, Sound Design, etc (which is ONLY $1000 or so, if I'm being extremely reductionist as most skins go for around $20 each, with the rest being based on duration of task and complexity usually), that is still a tremendous burden. All of this puts the average mod, assuming a middle of the road model without too much detailing, as about 230 hours. While the modder actively makes no money, and often loses money from outsourcing costs. Per mod. Now that I've actually contextualized to an extent how much effort actually goes into a mod, I hope that gives some context for just how goddamn horrendous this video is, and how disgustingly ungrateful you are being to people that are sacrificing huge parts of their life to make them possible. Let alone the fact that they could instead be working real jobs and making thousands of dollars instead of peddling content to the Path of Titans community for free. You have absolutely no right to judge the work of others here, especially when you're here, trying to borderline fucking BULLY modders into quitting their passion. Shame on you.

whats funny is every single mod you discussed in this video took 10x more effort than this video LOL you cannot expect the average mod to be official playable quality given that theyre done FOR FUN and NOT as paid work like the devs are (unless its a commission but even then, most commissions are under a thousand dollars when even thats rather cheap for the work it takes to put something in the game. if you want good mods in the game, theres going to be mods you dont like and theres going to be mods that arent as amazing as others and thats okay, especially given the amount of power server owners have over mods, if you dont wanna ever see cubensis or c-rex or spearcrest then play on a server without them its really that simple

as a tester for IOM, i will say spearcrest was 100% a first mod situation, the amount of issues we faced in testing was actually insane. the amount of mental hoops we also had to hop through to convince sucho that an apex that can tank 3 rexs, is the third fastest thing in the game, has great health regen as well as hitting like a truck is a bad idea was crazy. the creatures IOM is working on currently are great, they are working on another fantasy creature, but if that's not your cup of tea they're also working on a shant and spino (with other dinosaurs slated to be released). overall though the modding scene has been getting out of hand for a while now, likely because the mods that are greenlit aren't actually moderated by POT's moderation team, so stuff like the cube slip in

Mods are completely optional to install and it's just made by community members who want to put their creations out there, if you don't like a mod just don't install it, I don't understand what the fuss is about.

Cursed Phases are a team who's entire point is making the most ridiculous, funny and (as name suggests) cursed mods in PoT. Gotta say they are doing a good job. After all, it's not an issue to ad a few goofy mods in between all the realistic creature mods. Cubensis and Crex are goofy and that's their point of existence.
