The absolute sweetest quote james said a few years before he died was along the lines of "i love edie. I love my wife, and i love edie. I cant tell if i love carmela or edie or both". As we can imagine in watching, playing this character would have confused your emotions between real and make beleive

Back when i first watched the show I thought she loved him romantically as well. Now I believe she loved him yes but more in a platonic way. She ended up realising she loves him like a friend or a family member.

My thing is this, how did everybody else get to come back alive..even with their hearts ripped out. Like Stefan, and the sire chick.. Sybil. I hate that they ended their love story, when it was kinda just beginning

The theme running through Logan’s story is about Ethan and Vanessa’s destiny. She will be consumed by Evil unless he can protect her soul. Once she succumbs to it her soul is damned. So Ethan becomes the Wolf of God to save her. That scene between them at the end, him leading her in the Pater Noster just broke me up. “Oh Ethan! I see Our Lord!” Me, bawling like a baby. 😢 John Logan is a genius storyteller
