The fact is, a kilt can be incredibly expensive. A good wool kilt at the low end, a few hundred bucks. A custom one off kilt for a small clan or less popular tartan, upwards of $800 plus! But with ex hire kilts and PV, it is becoming a tad bit more affordable

I would like to wear a kilt every day. My first kilt was a thrifty kilt from Stillwater kilts it's very comfortable. My other one is a utility kilt.

I'm glad for him, and I'll bet his partner loves to see him in a skirt as well. For him to say it's a "chick magnet"... lol as if he really cares. That's for marketing, not for himself...

I wear Plaids/great kilts, sewn kilts and utility kilts, the English may have invented the 'kilt' and official tartans but people worldwide have worn variants of folded blankets as clothing for millenia. Bonus, Kjalta from old norse literally means the fold of a blanket so the name itself may not even be Scottish. Bonus bonus, Scots aren't from Scotland either ;-)

Almost every ancient civilization had their own form of kilts. Romans, Greeks, Egyptians, Africans and Asians to name a few.

I mean in the past the kilt has just been so expensive it’s ridiculous. But with alternative materials like PV, poly-viscous, they really are becoming much more affordable. And I wear my kilts on a regular basis. I’m more comfortable, you do tend to hold yourself higher. The issue comes in when people with a more juvenile mindset to start calling it a skirt, it is a skirted garment, but is not a skirt. Yes there is a difference. It’s classy and multi faceted. As the gentleman here is showing, you can work in multiple ways. I’m not a big fan of the pockets or the big pouches on them. And historically, jeans or slacks should I say trousers have been viewed by many cultures as being feminine. They’re also not good for men’s testicles as they hold heat At the testicles reducing sperm count.

At the Highland Games in Linville, North Carolina it is quite clear what they are wearing under their kilts in the caber toss and the hammer throw: Khaki bicycle shorts.

@Joe Blow Why would I wish that? I don't care one way or the other, but the modern kilt that Scotsmen now get married in is basically the British Army version of the garment, invented by an English military tailor. If you don't like it it's no skin off my nose.

I've contacted them on their website and emailed them, as well. I have yet to get a response. I guess I will have to push through my phone anxiety and call. What's the point of them saying you can contact them when they don't respond?😕
