Buddy once said that he didnt think rock n' roll would last long and that he was wanting to capitalize on it while he could. He couldnt have been anymore wrong about that. Here we are 65 years after his death still talking about him. Thats pretty incredible. Most people will be almost entirely forgotten 65 years after their death, and for sure if they dont have grandchildren. You could argue that buddy holly really inspired the 60s look. Thats when the buddy holly glasses really came into the mainstream of fashion. Not to mention he inspired people like Bob Dylan (who actually attended a concert on buddy Holly's final tour. He was at an earlier show than the last one buddy performed before being killed), Eric Clapton, the Beatles, etc, as well as all of the people those folks inspired. Hank Williams and Buddy Holly are my two favorite musical acts from that era. And neither of them will EVER DIE. Rock on, Mr. Holly.

I came to see if Hank Sr ( really wrote all them songs ) like Waylon asked him in ( The Conversation ). I am sorely disappointed.

Such a fun and amusing conversation. Hearing Britons discuss tea is always interesting. It is a shame that Victoria Wood left us far too soon.

I'm kinda fascinated with how they played the drums back then. As a musician, guitar/bass/drums. They just beat on a drum for tempo.. "a box!" studios didn't know how to record them! But notice.. the way they did it, makes them songs sound so unique. And what they are. Classics. The beginning of rock n roll. It just sucks they died so young as kids basically.. and didn't get to experience the phases of life.. as you get older.. 20's, 30's 40's. You go through some changes. They all missed out on so much life.. it's not fair. But made them the legends they are.

you heard it here folks; Hitler failed to conquer the British because of their love for tea.

What a great supportive family he had. No wonder he was such a talent. What a pro. So sad he died so young.

I had no idea they met Glen Campbell, he had quite a career. He was a session musician for Phil Spector, who was part of a group of musicians known as The Wrecking Crew, for a brief moment he replaced Brian Wilson in The Beach Boys then became a successful country singer who worked with everyone from cher to olivia newton john (rip). he also battled addiction but he survived.

How did fans accept Jaccqie O'Sullivan. When Cindy Birdson replaced Florence Ballard in the supremes in 1967 after florence got fired, she was tolerated but not fully accepted. however, cindy was a survivor who did all kinds of jobs. motown employee, x ray technician at UCLA Medical Center who later became an evangelist, sadly enough she suffered a stroke.

They were the first Girl From The UK to do American Bandstand in 1981 and 1985 respectively. They were also the first girl group from the uk to go to number one in the us. they kept it "real". that's why folks loved them so much. they also were heavily influenced by motown because they did their version of he wqas really saying somethin originally done by the velvelettes who like the contours, mabel john, the monitors, brenda holloway and kim weston the acts who were overlooked in motown's history. They were also the only females along with Jody Watlet to sing on do they know it's xmas and jody also sampled he was really saying something during her early years in shalamr. Now Sara's daughter is getting into the game. Her voiice is very much blue eyed soul.
