You was in the wrong parts of Essen.. Go to the Southwest. There Was the Villa Hügel, The Home from Krupp with a wonderful Park and the Baldeneysee with Woods and many Sportprogramm like Sailing, Golf and many more

When you walk in essen. Then you are surrounded by 18 million Germans. it is the middle of North Rhine Westfallen.

It is depressing! Looks like a suburb and not a city center. If you want to see more beautiful german cities visit Munich.

The Germans have such a strong focus on Europe and other countries that they forget and neglect their own homeland. The larger cities, in particular, are all dirty, gray, and unwelcoming. The Germans themselves don't see it because they are told every day that they live in the best Germany that has ever existed.

If you want to visit beautiful german cities I recommend you go to Bamberg, Regensburg, Kronach, Forchheim, Nördlingen or Rotenburg ob der Tauber! But basically any smaller town not destroyed in WW2 is very nice!

The city centre was bombed in ww2 and rebuilt with ugly architecture. Is you go to the southern parts of Essen it’s much nicer. The city centre is worst
