What an amazing artist. Don't forget Ella, Sarah Vaughn and Mel Torme up there as the greatest scat singers. But Veronica already able to take her place with the greats. She is young -- but started singing AND RECORDING at age 9 (!) -- so she's definitely the real deal and loooong way to go. Also, such a wide variety of music on her newest album. Amazing.

Veronica has such a wide repertoire, and there is nothing static or canned about her signing . Her intonation and inflection s are simply marvelous, and of course she has soul and can swing hard. Dianne reeves may have a prettier voice but after that nobody challenges Veronica currently for female jazz vocalists. Listen to these two now-thier greatness won’t be overlooked simply because they are currently on stage.
