Choose your Rochdale Hornets Try of the Season 1620pm 18.9.24 anyone gonna explain the discrpency in fiuxture list re: amount of teams featured in the league...? these guys, by rights, should be playing 16 matches per season, given number of squads listed. and they have played 20 games. how so...? p.s good luck etc etc etc etc... hope to see Hornets punching above it's proverbial weight next season.

Midland Hurricanes Post Match | Gary Thornton 0613am 12.2.24 sounds like a good game. i was skint, mate... therefore i couldn't attend. jinx-wise, that might be a good thing... seeing as the team pulled it round in the 2nd half and.....won!!!! so my results service scoreline suggests. ahhhahah..... nice one. confidence, and a bit of hard nosed thuggery out there on the pitch is probably the key. easy for me to say, though. as for winning - about time.

OLDHAM RLFC V HORNETS [SUMMER BASH HIGHLIGHTS]. 5.2.24. Dunno who has been designing their kits but they wanna take a look at what they have their players wearing...a bad day at the office after a drink fuelled bender is all I can describe their snazzy latest get up as representing. Thier reverting back to old timey trad design looks well, though. Kicking against the pricks was where Hornets were at - so bearing that in mind the trad route may be the way to go. and if they, your marketing dept, begin a selling range of old heavy cotton rugby tops in the old Hornets colour scheme let me know. it was cold on that terrace.... etc etc etc... p.s any point saying anything regards state of play? defence leaks to buggery, your players stand and watch as one of the braver chaps attempts to run at the opposition and the passing can be, at times, shocking. what to do? do they, the players, care about what they're doing or are they just making a hobby of this? if i can afford it i'll come and support the team, but you really really do need to buck up...a lot!!!

Yes, l struggle too with Morrison shopping. It’s rare now as l moved to London many years ago but l still have family in Milnrow so occasionally go there to shop a bit. On the playing front when Hornets visited London Skolars for the league fixture l could see they weren’t the same side of a year previous so l’m hoping 23-24 will see a big improvement. Sadly Skolars have gone from League 1 now but I’ll still be looking for Hornets result first every week. I’ve loved them since l was 5 years old and l always will.

Rochdale Hornets | Gary Thornton Interview 29.11.23 1926pm i still find it difficult to shop at morrisons. it irks me, don't know about you... so says competitive uncle. simple, really. those players need to start backing one another up. and have a bit more passion. they proved that if they run at the opposition they, the opposition, are flummoxed. i'd like to see it do something - for a change. and, yes, take the game seriously. of course!!!

I like him better as a game dev.

2009 was a hell of a season. The try he got in the grand final was one of the toughest charges you will ever see.

Match Highlights | Rochdale Hornets v Hunslet 30.1.22 1419pm sutcliffe has his say... sometime... dunno when but just watched hornets beat coventry aka hurricanes. a nice enough game. and i should have been there but i am, as allus, skint!!!! all good and well probably as i am a bit of jinx. still the same old hornets, though eg: not backing one another up nor are their players running on to the ball - standing starts will get yer nowhere when you play a bigger team. i hope they get through a few rounds as i, for one, would rather they had a decent cup run as opposed to imploding every time an opposition big enough puts paid to any fancy ideas - such as winning a game. wonders will never cease, eh? anyhow; league is back on tv. ch4... i think they must be the sky free views they used to stick on the sky sports you tube site... well done!! now to sit back and listen to some folk slam doors a bit.

Watched this fine player at Rochdale Mayfield for some years when Matt Calland was still Playing...Fierce Competitor loves to win...And as nice a bloke as you could meet off the park....
