The Count was funny in Sesame Street. It's a shame that they had to change the voice of Count after Jerry Nelson's death. Jerry Nelson passed away from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema, and prostate cancer on August 23, 2012 at age 78. For the last six years of his life, he required an oxygen tank to assist his breathing.

Don't have the original VHS when I was younger, but it's still another very well edited project! Thinking of which, can you peeps be honest and answer something mathematical? Since the original video is somehow a "live on tape" occasion, as in anytime we choose to see it and not necessarily yearly like many award programs on TV, and we know Cookie Monster is crowned the Fuzzy Award winner, how many times do you believe this achievement happened to him based on your younger self seeing the "Monster Hits" VHS/DVD?

Btw, this is from the original video, but I find it interesting enough to remark on: I'm almost positive, given that the one character in the video besides Elmo and Herry that isn't pre-recorded is Herry's mom, who's David Rudman, I think he must've puppeteered Cookie to Frank Oz's recording...which means he unofficially debuted as Cookie Monster years before he took the part on for real! (Just look at how Cookie's hamming it up at the end, you can't tell me that isn't David Rudman having fun.)

I saw this when I was around 4 or 5, then I forgot which videotape it was featured with. Soon after the vhs was replaced with vcd and dvd, I thought I would never see this again😂 Surprisingly 25 years later I just randomly found it on yt
