Yes, a light frost. We recommend covering the Tower or moving it into a garage so that the frost does not touch the plants. Some plants can handle & even sweetens their taste such as snap peas, spinach & broccoli. Most fruiting and flowering do not like frost on their leaves, so cover with a sheet.

Out is on. Push all the pins out for the time you would like your lights to be in. Any pins pushed into the middle will be the time your lights are off. After setting the pins, turn the dial so that the triangle/arrow is lined up with the current time. Finally make sure the button in the center is pushed over to the right.

Hello! Yes, each Tower has its own pump. We use a daisy chain style connection with triple tap extension cords connected to a timer.

The optimal pH is 5.5 to 6.5. If an adjustment is necessary, add one teaspoon / 5 mL of the pH buffering solution (included) to either raise (pH+Base) or lower (pH-Acid) the pH. If yours was 7.5, I would have added 2 tsp of pH down (1 tsp for every .5 adjustment needed) then wait 24 hours to allow the adjuster to work. Then recheck. Since it is now red, you will have to adjust with the pH up, just a couple tsp and recheck the next day.

@@TrueGarden I think I put 20 ml of PH+ to bring it back and it never worked. I had to flush it all and start over. I went to get natural water at a spring and the new ph level was ok from the start.

Hello! In a greenhouse you would set it to "O" for outdoor. The pumps will run 3 minutes on and 12 minutes off continuously 24 hours per day.

Make sure you are using the correct pH adjuster. It can take up to 5 tablespoons to adjust highly acidic water. Try using an inline water filter to purify your water.

The blue labeled pH adjuster is pH- (acid) Lower. The large bottles in the video are the nutrients Mineral Blend A (green) and Mineral Blend B which are used to feed the plants.

Tim Blank had a slight hiccup in the video where he said "Tower Tonic" instead of "Mineral Blend", what most folks wont realize is the nutrient formulation didnt change, just the name and the label on the bottle.

The pump does come with adapters for connection, so it may but do not know for sure. This pump is rated at 0.43 amps, 23 watts @ 120 VAC/60 Hz and pumps at 357 US gph.

Good day. As Troy shows, in the shower cap is the top of the tube that the water is pumped up through and then the water spills over into the shower cap. The hose fits directly on to that piece and the water will then go into the drain hose while your pump is running rather than the shower cap. Nothing needs to be unscrewed to drain the Tower unless you are needing to clean the entire Tower. I do not think there is a real time video of someone draining the Tower.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking. The coco coir is a round plug made from coconut husks wrapped in a plant cellulose wrapper to hold the coco in tact. Once you have germinated your seeds, the plug will be placed directly into your Tower or planted in the dirt.

@@TrueGarden my coco coir is not in cellulose wrapper. It was in a big brick and I added water.

You want to lights to be on 14-16 hours per day. To set the timer, you push the pegs out for the time you want the lights to be on. My lights come on at 7:00am and stay on continuously until 10pm. After you push the pegs out for lights on, turn the dial until the arrow is pointing to the time it is now and make sure the center button is pushed to the right to the clock position. One last note, make sure your lights are plugged directly into an outlet and not into the Tower pump timer.

First of all, Tower Garden has come out with a new and improved digital timer. No more little pegs. The new timer has two settings - "I" for Indoor and "O" for outdoor. Well worth the $32 price tag. When growing outdoors and the 1 up 1 down all the way around is perfect for 80 degrees and up. As the weather starts to cool 80-70 1 up, 2 down. below 70 - 60 1 up 3 down.
