I hate that you said “major incident”. No matter if they were launching for an incident or training…. both would look exactly the same to you as a bystander.

@@syoung4557 No no they aren’t. The RNLI exists to save lives at sea. All lives. They are there for everyone, without judgement. Their purpose is to stop people dying. That’s all. It is for other government agencies to decide who has a right to be here at a later date.

Because they rescued if I remember numerous people having been swept out to sea! It was in the local news. So no not a training exercise.
