One of my favorite Guitar Pop bands. Chemicrazy is one of my favorite albums - the interplay of guitars and working the permutations off a melody. Very fun. I wish I had been able to see them in concert. Thanks for posting!

I saw this band on Sunday, July 8, 1990 at the Whiskey-A-Go-Go in Hollywood. They were touring in support of the album "Chemicrazy'. Great show! Great band! Great memory!

This isn’t the town and country. It looks like ally pally...... maybe t town and country stage at a festival

It is Ally Pally where they held the T&C Club 5th Anniversary series of gigs in 1990. The Saturday night had The Stranglers as headliners (Hugh Cornwell's last gig), The Godfathers, TPE, The Family Cat and someone else I can't remember at the moment although I do remember how flipping hot it was!

Iz v good, thanks just found it. The intro and graphics etc is being all knowingly ironic, innit? Either way it's a masterpiece - just a question of whether to laugh at or with... Advice welcome

Oh, to have experienced this Great Band Live. Have all their Albums, but can't recall them coming to Australia? What a Great Frontman Steve Mack was!

Think they were about to head to Aus for a tour then it got pulled at the last minute. The band split following that setback.

And I loved TPE, saw them many times and could do with a burst of them live now - what a great band they were.

Great gig, I was there but it wasn't actually a The Town and Country, it was a 5th anniversary celebration at Alexandra Palace. This was the Saturday night of 3 with The Stranglers headlining (Hugh Cornwell's last gig), TPE, The Godfathers, The Family Cat and a few others supporting. I think the other nights were had lined by The Kinks and Squeeze.

The Petrols blew everyone else off stage. Including the headliners who really were just going through the motions at Hugh's last gig as Stranglers' frontman.

Followed these guys for a while playing in Holland and Germany, also saw them on my holidays in the UK. One of the most memorable festival and small club bands of my late 20's indeed. Really enjoy this excellent footage... thanks for the memories TPE! ;)

great back-catalogue, enjoyed watching the whole of this with a bottle of wine while telling my son about what it was like to see TPE in concert back in the day. For me, it all started in the middle of a field at Reading Festival, thinking 'blimey, they're good'.

Saw them at Darlington Arts Centre November 1985, good memories of piling in and skanking round in me sta prest and crombie. Great band, shame they never recorded more. Got the Day On The Town album and Oi Of Sex tracks on mp3 nowadays, still play em. They came back as the Regal Kings a few years ago, not sure if they're still going though?
