@MrJwinne
@MrJwinne Ай бұрын
And your point is exactly what ? So they’re hired to scout people that fit a certain criteria . They shouldn’t get paid ? They’re providing a service . In fact , I was contacted by a recruiter that got me into a phenomenal position . I’m still in contact with that person . Your information is ridiculous.
@jobsearchtv
@jobsearchtv Ай бұрын
You are misreading my point. Let me start with I'm a former recruiter, did it successfully for a long time before becoming a job search coach. I earned many millions of dollars as a result. The point is they didn't find the position for you. They found you for the position. I love recruiters getting paid for their work. It's how I paid for my family's lifestyle and helped put my son through school. Each hire I helped effectuate made someone happy and solved a client's problems. However, advice from many recruiters is BS--self-serving opinions so they do the deal and earn their fee. I get many questions referring to "my recruiter" as though they are trying to find them a job. They aren't. They are trying to fill a job. As for your previous success in getting a job through a recruiter's introduction, great! Just don't expect them to help you the next time or the one after that.

S'just saying that their primary goal is to make money, not help you. People are on a spectrum, but it's good to know the agenda they have before interacting.
@jobsearchtv
@jobsearchtv Ай бұрын
@evienoon371 of course they want to make money no different than you do. And when firms hire, they talk about great opportunities with terrific people and they are trying to fill a need. Job hunters go to interviews determined to impress saying things that aren’t always true because they want to get hired and make more money. Everyone is posturing to impress someone

Absolutely. AI is much more useful at reviewing content. I've asked it to generate a bulletized list to critique essays. Questions like "Which points lack enough emphasis?" or "What else should I include to expand my argument?" The most important part is to take feedback with a grain of salt and carefully consider its feedback.

Professional Recruiter here (18+ years): I mostly disagree. It's not the What as much the How. I don't mind a conversation, but only when my questions are being answered. When people go off-topic and ramble on without answering questions that are asked, it is annoying waste of time and indicative of 3 possibilities: - you're trying to obfuscate your lack of relevant experience and knowledge (possibly because your resume isn't authentic);. - you are unable to focus; - both. In any event, it's often a huge red flag for me, especially for senior-level roles. Overall, when it's clear that you're trying to butter me up and tell me what you think I want to hear instead of actually answering the questions that I ask, my assessment is that you're more of a BS Artist than a competent professional. In that case, I guess it does feel like I get to know you better, but that's not particularly good for you...

Thank you for a thoughtful response. I did search for even longer than you before transitioning to coaching. I found that people give away their power too easily and treat the interviewer as a superior with them at a lower station. That power differential and how to deal with it was what I was trying to address in 15 seconds. Please Feel free to comment on anything I post here. Your contribution is helpful

@@jobsearchtv It is a fair question, and one labials don't like. It is a ridiculous form of facial adornment and one used by those with too little or too much self-affection, and with pittle self-awareness. I avoid such people, just as I would avoid you should you be in my proximity. That you are BSing on KZbin is no surprise. As a former HR professional, labial hair is an indication of NQR and best avided. There, clever one (?), mull on that.

Extra points if you go on to apply interstitial space or interstitial voids to these totals. Meaning that about 26% of the total is actually empty space.

We now know they don't want you to really answer the question. The interviewer wants to see HOW you come up with the answer, and how well you work with others to find the answer. They want to see you are humble to state you don't know the answer, but rather you admit that you need to work together and talk with others to get the correct answer. It's not a math question, it's a relationship question.
