How do I enter the giveaway? I'm logged in here at youtube but can't find it. TIA

The purchased pattern is only one piece…the shape of the main bag. The rest of the items are measurements you cut. The gusset has to be shaped by hand. I cut my patterns from a cricuit or my laser and now I will need to enter the measurements myself and design my own pattern. What did pay $5.99 for?

Are the handles leather webbing? I don’t see on the website. Or are they fabric?

What a great tutorial! Thank you! Very informative but easy to understand and follow. I’d say even a beginner could follow this. ❤❤❤❤

Given it is a free pattern, why not include the size of squares as you discuss the materials needed and as your making it?

Rather disappointing, I ordered two Ruth kits, and now I sit without a pattern. Following your link always takes me to request a pattern via email. I would expect to receive an automatic message to download a pattern with my order confirmation. It’s Friday evening and I’m guessing I’ll go all weekend without receiving a link. The link received with the kit can’t be found. Sorry but this isn’t very good customer service.

I am also having trouble with receiving the pattern. I tried using 2 different email addresses on Friday, but still have not received the pattern.

How long does the base coat take to dry? How long does it take for each top coat to dry? I have been waiting a half hour between coats, should I just test with my finger?

I have made this bag once already but I'm wondering if there's a way to make it with more structure? I'd love this bag if all sides were really sturdy. Any suggestions?

That was an awesome video. I struggle with these open ends and end up hand stitching/tacking to make them look better. But these methods just solved that problem. Thank you

Hey kinda off topic but I got 10 meters of white zipper and I want it to be a different colour. According to you, do you think I can use some good fabric paint and paint that white part around the zip in my desired colour 😅? Will that be a good idea?

Could you cut your pieces with the foam out of the seam allowances and still have a structured bag?

Why is the lining an inch shorter than the exterior? It doesn’t fit down into the bag bottom.
@SallieTomato
@SallieTomato 17 күн бұрын
The difference could be due to the type of material you are using for the bag. If you have more questions or need further assistance, please email [email protected]

@@SallieTomato the directions say to cut the exterior 10 1/2” and the lining 9 1/2”. It doesn’t say anything about the type of fabric used and cutting specifics. I used the ostrich and turtle Tex just like in the video.

Thank you so much for these lessons. I am sewing for the first time since I took home ec in 8th grade....this is not a 10-minute project for me - each coaster took about an hour! However, I am getting a little better with each one!

Why is your “Butler Method” called that? Amy Butler does not sew down the zipper ends, she pulls the tape out with forceps instead. Too many people are naming different techniques the Butler Method. Check with Amy on this.

I started out doing zips like you’re showing, but lately I just pull out any extra teeth and add zip stoppers to top. So much easier and more professional results for me. Zipper kits are handy for so many repairs in my alterations business.
