ibis is only popular because it's free and made for mobile devices, and works great on phones. it's definitely not good for professional stuff, but for social media posting and hobbyists, its great. personally i also hate it, but i also hate using mobile devices for drawing (and the interface it uses to fit on the small screens), so i'm just biased lol
