You know that dowel screws, for the most part, are round in the middle. So why are you showing one with a flat middle? Try doing this with a screw that is round in the middle.

Yes, I have seen the round ones too. But those are used in sanitary sinks to pivot it with the hinges! But here in Pakistan we have these flat middle, available in multiple sizes. So we have the perks to easily tighten it :D
